It actually makes it worse and doesn’t solve core problem.
Spine and spores use to 3 resources that can easily bankrupt Zerg.
Terran don’t need 360 degree protection since has marine offset that.
Toss needs 360 degree but cannon do require pylons but toss only needs one probe.
Zerg kinda crude one part where we cover large area but cost larva and drone and do it quickly it kills economy.
On top of units with 6 range can angle where even Zerg stack 100 spores. But banshees and void rays only have deal one spore at time.
So main problem is defensive comes from drone and needs longer range to more one spore can aid in fight.
In TvZ, when the spore crawlers are ready for cloaked banshees, I couldn’t do much damage because of the higher DPS. If I caught my Zerg opponent off-guard and they tried to build the spore crawler in front of me, my banshees could focus fire and take them out before they finished building. I don’t know, I feel like this could be pretty bad for an unprepared zerg. Maybe they should adjust the build time a little with the lower HP amount?
Maybe for single banshee but main issue spore has 7 range . The amount spores u need to be protected by small air units. Can cripple Zerg economy which can do more damage then what banshee. Since Terran would use 2-4 banshees on lower health can destroy spore faster then spore tring to fight 3-4 spores.
Then 3-4 banshees can take out spore. Since banshee 6 range same thing with void ray. There is really no way get two spores to attack since range is low. Only in hope that Terran or toss makes mistake.
It be better if damage was added too the queen instead.
Banshees are not really a massive issue in ZvT. Queens are marginally more expensive, but you can still make like eight of them and bat away most banshees. Spore in each mineral line for detection, one queen in each for injects, then you have your roaming gang of defence/creep queens. Same as oracles. They’re not really meant to do game ending damage. They’re meant to keep the Zerg honest.
Although Terran has plenty of other options (battlecruisers, hellions, 2-1-1, hellbats), oracles are by far the best macro oriented pressure Protoss has for stopping Zergs just going straight to 4 bases with 80 drones. You don’t want Zerg to be able to just completely shut down these pressures unless they’re actively outplaying their opponent (like Serral does vs Oracles)

Good to know! I’m at a lower level but I was able to take out spore crawlers faster than I was used to doing, so I just wanted to make sure banshee harass wasn’t a game ending moment for the zerg.

If youre able to kill building spores with banshees, and it’s not an outlying base that isn’t fully set up yet, the zerg messed up and you deserve the W anyway

Why is Zerg not allowed shut down attacks but Terran and Protoss can.
Why not make queens faster on creep with cliff walk but can’t walk off creep. Can’t move if there is no creep. Creep tumors don’t need creep to be placed.
Buff queen anti air instead of spore.
Early banshees that you didn’t scout is bad for ANY unprepared race. Including another terran. Trick is to scout.
Zerg, above all, is well equipped for early game scouting. No excuse if zerg loses to something they were not prepared for.
