Hi guys, I just got back into Starcraft II after couple of years, here’s what I’ve encountered so far:
-Go go custom melee game -> no map showing up (wait for 30 min, nothing)
-Join lobby -> freezing on “entering lobby” loop -> tried everything I could search on google and this forum, you name it. nothing work
-Right now, even go to offline mode, I can’t play any melee game with A.I. Campaign is the only thing I can play.
-I’m using macbook pro 13’ 2012 -> try to switch to my windows 10 laptop -> problem still occurs.
So, I live in SEA region, some of my friends in Canada and west coast have this issue too. I’ve also tried different isp but nothing changes. I thought this would be blizzard back-end problem.
I really love the games, I wish I could play it as the way it is intended to be. Sorry for my long post, I hope you guys can help me with this issue. Thank you very much. Have nice day.
I’ve definitely had lag issues with loading the choice of multiplayer maps (also on NA/AU/SEA combined server). I wish it would cache the map list so it didn’t have to redownload the whole thing every time like some sort of FPS-genre server browser, because the maplist doesn’t usually change hour-to-hour like a server browser. Usually I have to spend some time “downloading files” even if I’ve played that map before very recently. The worst case is that sometimes I end up downloading like 300mb worth of files in-game to play coop after a patch, which confuses the heck out of me and seems really pointless.
That being said, is it at all possible your firewall is blocking something? Maybe if you try checking firewall settings it will be able to download the maps for you? It’s a long shot, especially because you said it didn’t work on either computer already, but it might be something you haven’t tried yet.
Hi man, thank you for your help. Unfortunately, I did try the firewall thing, still doesn’t work.
I’m having the same problem. Is there anyway to fix this?
