Abduct 9 range is stupid, counter every terran unit: tank, thor, bc, viking, liberator.
Swarm host and nydus are cancer. It ruins the game.
Ghosts have 10 range steady target and 10 range EMP that can have a 2 radius. Adding ghosts lategame is mandatory.
Locust are the problem.
Liberators. When they abduct your liberators they go off of siege mode and being that theyâre fairly tanky they can just fly back and set up again.
No dude, they counter liberators hard
Have you tried: playing better than the Zerg ?
Special says otherwise, pal.
You need 2 EMP hits on viper to drain it. It will take 150 energy from your ghost and 200 from viper. Viper than goes home and drinks from some spore. Next time, your ghost has 70 energy, viper 200. Vipers are faster and when going for pull, they go one by one so EMP several is hardly ever an option.
Also, you cant snipe viper, snipe gets interupted by pull and now your ghost is dead.
hey yeah thatâd be a balanced fix, just remove the energy gain ability from the viper
Zone with Thors and missile Turrets and snipe the Vipers. No, itâs not easy, but no one said Terran had easy control (except for like almost any moron Zerg on the forums).
It could work, but we all saw how building thors if vipers are out goes⌠And T turret canât move and dont have range to keep them away.
Ghosts + vikings. Emp if they try to move lots of vipers forward, if they only move 1 it will get picked off by 1 round of viking attacks.
But in general, I agree with you, Terran doesnât really have a SOLID counter for vipers. Even when you kill the vipers theyâll para bomb or abduct 1 unit and still get some damage.
If it was broodwar you could irradiate. In sc2 they really encourage deathball play and it kinda sucks.
lolwat thors are not the solution. vipers just yoink the thors and poof you just lost an expensive unit
vikings = 9 range. Thor =10-11 range. The problem is just behind the keyboard.
vipers still yoink lol, canât really walk away fast enough to get out of range
While itâs not easy, and I would never say something as stupid as:
Vipers have a much smaller hit box. Thors cannot fly and will be impeded by brood lings and zerg lings. Terran also has a million more things to do than just a move and cast a few spells.
Itâs still possible. The control is just in favor of the Zerg. (How a Zerg player can watch Roach Hydra Viper and be astounded by the control that unit comp takes is beyond me.
Terran is too busy writing his whine post on battle while his tanks are shooting, he doesnât have time to add vikings and amove them into vipers.
lost in discussion = use âblame someone as whinerâ card
I love how everyone in the Starcraft scene with an opinion worth having acknowledges how much harder Terran micro is. Then literally no one said Zerg had harder micro, Zergs all just decided they had the hardest micro, then they all just decided to believe it.
Nah, but maybe increase the damage it deals to structuresâŚ
Also people here are slightly biased⌠the cooldown on âdrinkingâ is quite high already⌠So itâs not as strong as described hereâŚ
Anyways - for balance - If increased damage to own structures isnât sweet, then slightly more cooldown in addition.
I want to say, âuse ghosts in the lategameâ seem a good phrase to say to terrans, -.-"
but most people seem to not knowing the core concept problem in balance here. Ghosts are REACTIVE (aka newtonâs law). So they are relatively weaker to any offensive things, because in order to be offensive you can have any skill. In order to be defensive and counter exactly at the time that Viper comes or is going to abduct (EMP, SNIPE, etc), it takes a very meticulous timing and âskillâ⌠and as some pointed out, the EMP will barely hit more than one unit, itâs more of a playy-thing / luck-game if you can sneak through a cloaked ghost to the camping enemy/ army.
Sorry, but thatâs how it is - you should not love this explanation âI love how every oneâŚâ but truth.
Have you tried actually contributing rather than saying âplay better than your opponentâ every topic?
Except when its whining against terran, somehow you are fine with that:)
