That’s one of my points here. It’s not really that active anymore. Is it active enough? Sure, back in the glory days it might be worth it to get the branding rights and so on.
A lot of that is newly added now. And no I don’t really watch sports anymore. Since the pandemic and also not having cable. Not paying for cable anymore really helped me a lot, I don’t miss ESPN or anything like that.
I really only watch NFL in the fall. That I can watch on my tv. I have a digital antenna. One of the best investments I’ve ever made. It’s called OTA (Over the Air) so i can watch Fox and CBS, both the stations that show NFL.
Now that you’re talking about where they put all the ads, I’m actually glad I’m not seeing that. I’ve actually heard Amy Lawrence talking about this on cbs sports radio as well. Sure sometimes I can see the sunday NHL game on NBC or NBA on ABC.
I can tell you, the free digital tv has better stations than the ones on cable that people pay for. The amount of history I’ve learned so far just thru networks such as Decades, GRIT, GetTV and ThisTV. Really good stuff. TV actually used to be good when it first came out.
Do streamers make money or not? They still have to “work,” right? If you created the builds… what should you have to pay for branding? You get to name your build, right? That’s the precedence… With simple beneficial branding… one doesn’t even have to work…
What makes money quicker than anything in the history of mankind to date? Simply being in crypto… Doge coin is a 10 billion dollar meme.
What I think you’re missing here is the importance of memeing/promoting small market cap coins. If a coin has a small market cap, a couple investors alone can DRAMATICALLY rise the price. If a streamer can make a living in SC 2, then you can get a small market cap coin to return you any multiple that you can think of and then some.
Once a coin reaches a price point that nearly maxes out what the player/viewerbase can support? Just change the name of the coin/build and start anew. That’s all that has to happen.
This is the recipe. Small market cap coin and a coin that either has staking or masternode features, if not both. Price rise + passive income (think of it like being paid rent on top of your property rising in value).
This is what was lost in the frenzy of mindless memeing. The purpose. The point? What’s it going to benefit/lead to?
What is there to complain about? I’m still trying to understand that. Switch spots, what would you do? You really going to tell me nothing, with a straight face?
It’s about multiples. How easily can you multiply your money. With just a few thousand dollars invested in a small market cap coin… a single person can 2x the price… The potential is limitless.
The price is merely a function of exposure/community. Anyone can make money if they want to… realize this. It’s simply a choice. Only time in history, perhaps. One might even say maybe a once in a universe’s time chance.
Do you know who made more money than any SC 2 player? Simply the guys who got 5-8th place in that BW tournament I played in. 8th place made, in essence, 1.6 million dollars due to the rise in BTC. Those spots got 25 btc each.
Just like it’s silly to get caught up in any current meta, you don’t wanna get caught up in pointless memes in this modern era, when anyone could look back and be like “omg… we were all the biggest idiots ever. Why didn’t we do “x,” it was so simple.” I’m simply telling people in advance how simple it is. No excuse or hindsight needed.
In my book… I complained about the disconnect between real sports and Blizzard’s version of esports. To me, they always needed to mirror each other (real sports doing it right) for it to pan out and be taken seriously. You know warchest? That’s kinda what I was talking about. Real sports have revenue sharing. And SC 2 needed something like that.
Basically, the more SC 2 mirrors real sports, the more sustainable it is and attractive it is to new players. If SC 2 doesn’t do it right, another game will, and that will attract the talent. Promoting “nerdism,” truly is not the way to go. SC 2 desperately needs more people who understand sports and how professional sports work.
SC 2 is a freaking embarrassment. Who wants to play a game competitively where not only is no one banned for hacking, but the most known hackers are paraded around as awesome guys? Excuse me? Could you repeat that again and maybe offer an explanation? They repeat it 100 times, but I’ve yet to get an explanation for it.
In SC 2… being legit is frowned upon. That’s what happens when crazy people get in charge of anything. Crazy people with no morals.
As for science vessels, yeah… pretty good unit. What always astounded me was that no one ever complained about D-matrix. In T vs Z… you could d matrix your tanks versus lurkers or w/e… and it completely changed battles. In my eyes, it made understanding whether you could take a battle or not impossible for Zerg.
It’s just like, really… this doesn’t bother you nor do you see how strong this is? I just always found it odd that not a single person had any issue or any comments about it. I mean, people hate on anything and everything in SC 2. Everything is too OP. Heck even the worst unit in the game, the tempest, is “always OP.”
Years ago I saw a guy in platinum, he did something really weird, it was a glaive-double immortal+warp prism all in in pvp, it looked so new that I used with some sucess for a while. Then many months later, guess what?, that build appears on GSL and Tastosis are really hyped because apparently that build is something never seen and the P who did it won easily the game. I don’t know if the plat dude was a mastermind, copied or anything else, but I only know that the first time I saw that was during his game, and never saw it during high level streams or tournaments, the meta was pretty different than that and I watch a fair amount of high level content, it would be rare that I missed that strat, because it worked, for some weeks it was seen at high/pro level until people started to counter it.
I’ve taken too many breaks to stay abreast current ladder metas and what not. And, I also rarely watch pro SC 2, as I’m not trying to copy/learn anything… and I just don’t care much.
For a year +, not only will I not play a game, but I won’t even watch anyone stream, you know? So yeah, I appreciate that anecdotal. That’s an interesting thing/story if so. It would be cool to know the real origin behind all builds that one sees at a pro level.
I used to hate P vs P with a passion when I first started playing LotV. It was just non stop adept harass with a warp prism. It never ended. If you killed 2 warp prisms, they just made another to return to warp in more adepts or drop them.
God do I not miss adept P vs P. You couldn’t even leave your base or go anywhere, cause it was just non stop adepts shading everywhere lol. By the time you reached the middle of the map, you had no eco and were forced to all-in… It became a game of whoever moves out first loses, lmao.
I only do macro builds. It’s probably a bit easier to come up with an all-in that can work at higher levels, but don’t quote me on that.
In my experience, you can only be as good as your build, and you can only be as bad as your build allows you to, more or less.
Right now, I have an interesting P vs T build/concept and what not, but I haven’t really tested it out. I’ve played like 2 people at “my level.” Other games were just against AI and maybe 1 or 2 unranked games against like Plat players.
If I do the build against lower level players, it’s going to look really amazing. Why change anything, you know? Don’t fix what isn’t broken, right? But, if you play higher level players, they tend to find things to exploit and force you to make adjustments. Your competition forces you to not only notice any exploits but find a way to fix them if you want to beat them.
This is something that just can’t happen at a lower level. Lower level players are basically only playing “yes men.” No matter what they do, someone is telling them “you’re Florencio. Can’t beat that man.” Where as… higher level players just beat you if your build has anything glaringly illogical to it.
That’s an advantage that is hard to overcome. As they say, you can only be as good as your competition or w/e.
The only reason I’ve even talked about my P vs T build, as of now, is cause I threw in the white towel, so to speak. I’m just like man… I’ve tried everything, and I think everything sucks. At least this has some components of everything I’ve tried that seemed somewhat decent, and it has some extra ones that seem cool or like they should be apart of w/e is optimal.
It could be the least viable build ever, but… that’s the fun in trying to make something not be the worst thing ever, if possible.
Ya they’re still here, telling each other what they can do like 4 year olds.
The new thing seems to be streaming while in a hot tub now. Just buy one of those inflatable hot tubs and set it up in your room.
I’ve seen several different really hot female streamers under just chatting, and it looks like they are all using the same model of hot tub.
That’s a more legit way to make money than anything being hyped in SC 2’s existence. Can feel far more respectable doing that than praising KingCobra or acting like the great plagiarizer of our time is our esports Einstein.
The path of least resistance (and work). Scamming in SC 2 and females showing off bod for money. On a long enough time line… there has to reach a point where everything is a scam (SC 2 already has) and every female in the world is hot tub streaming. Those who can make it work as a living persist, and the girls who can’t find a scammer to support them.
Something like that.
I’ve never really explored twitch. I’ve recently seen the hot tub thing. Only minutes here and there. I don’t really get the point of watching that stuff. I probably enjoy watching twitch less than anyone in the world. Maybe I’m too old to be watching others playing games or doing soft p…
The only time I ever actually get a kick out of anything on twitch, not that I watch often, is when I watch GTA and I see all the role playing going on. That’s the only thing that I find kinda interesting. Absolutely nothing interesting in SC 2. “Hey guys… come watch a Diamond leaguer do interesting things, since no one else will.” Sums it up.
Bunch of scammers praising scammers. I’m not religious at all, but you guys need jesus in your lives or something. I would expect to tune in any day and hear “x streamer” claiming the bible as their style. Yeah, brah… created the bible dawg. I’m the best. That’s about the only scam they could try to pull and not have everyone believing it, simply cause… their life has to be the antithesis of it.
This game gets to me. I swear, one day, I’d love to go to an insane asylum, just to find people more sane than those in this scene. You can’t convince me there’s crazier people there. One day, people are going to realize they’re the sane ones. I just have to see it… I can’t imagine worse.
Thought that was pretty stand up how Cobra came on and posted though.
I used to only watch SC2 on twitch. Somehow I clicked on the just chatting category someday. I know I did watch some social eating streams when that was taking over Korea for a while. A lot of SC2 people were doing that social eating craze a ways back.
I think it led to me watching some cooking streams and then finding my way into just chatting. It’s the most popular part of the site, in terms of viewer count. Which they break down on the browse page.
Ya it’s worth looking around. And always scrolling all the way down to the bottom if you have time, that’s where you can find some real interesting gems. I used to do that in SC2 wow did i see some things. I can tell you I saw a guy and his girl in a hotel room before. This is on the SC2 page, down towards the bottom. Like the ten viewer range.
I’ll always remember what I saw. Suffice to say, the channel isn’t there anymore.
I haven’t really liked GTA since Vice City. I remember getting that weird one that was based on L.A. I used to hate how it made you lift weights and stuff like that. I’ve stayed away from GTA since then. Vice City was absolutely legendary though.
There’s been a couple times where I’ve watched Maximus Black play it. Just because I have him followed and I’ll see him over on the left hand side in my follow list. He’s been playing that new GTA for a while now.
The public discrediting from KingCobra and after exposed as a liar and a fake eventually were not enough yesterday?
This moron comes for more.
It’s ironic when somebody that out of stupidity and cluelessness (Dimwit tries to “invent” a build that can account for everything) makes such comments about Cobra.
A nameless nobody (outside of this forum) is competing with Avilo for the delusional primacy.
I guess Avilo has a better understanding of how a RTS works.
The other day Wardi had a shopped hot tub in the place were his camera was to make him look like he was streaming from the pool.
You can’t be serious. Please tell me you’re not serious. So, not only does he confirm that clearly I was doing the strat before him. But the other thing people call him genius for, the walling of his cannons (that I also do…), he admitted he copied from someone else.
Yet, he still wants to be praised. None of it should matter cause… “what’s your MMR on EU.” After being confused as to why he wouldn’t answer my question of does he not play normally, ever, as I didn’t understand why he wasn’t walling his cannon vs Toss… I looked at his recent vod.
What strat is he doing now? Oh… the one I posted about on here over a year ago and have been doing for years. The low ground gateway + stargate + expand vs Toss. Yet, this guy still wants me to praise him and he hasn’t said a single positive thing about me, despite me complimenting him for years and keeping the truth to myself.
The guy is a scum bag and anyone praising him is an imbecile. Bottom line. Time to call it what it is. You know yaga is crazy. Don’t front. It has to be Cobra…
Cobra ran away with his tail tucked between his legs when I realized why he was keeping mum and wouldn’t answer the question. These guys have no shame. I mean absolutely no shame or conscience. Insanity. This guy’s name needs to become a banned word. That’s how I feel. I feel filthy for having even talked to him.
Have you ever seen Cobra stream? He always plays unranked. He’s usually always playing on a new account. It’s just non stop shady stuff. You’re never allowed to see his MMR. He cannon rushes every other game, yet wants to brag about MMR… That’s his trump card about everything.
Let me sum up his intelligence/integrity. I posted a pic from last season of me being 5790 MMR on NA. He was giving me grief for being 5600+ MMR on EU, okay (I’ve been 5800+ on EU, I just don’t play EU and obv ping is horrible for me…). When I asked him what he thought 5790 MMR on NA would equate to on EU he said 5300.
So, I’m 5300 MMR on EU while also being 5600 MMR on EU. Do you understand the level of lying/stupidity this guy is? It’s uncharted. That’s his genius in being stupid.
Do you know how high 5790 MMR is on NA? It’s ridiculously high. 5800 MMR is top 16. 5300 MMR on EU? Everyone knows MMR on EU is inflated by 200 or more. Everyone knows it certainly doesn’t equate to less on EU if they play it enough, unless they have unplayable ping. Everyone knows this.
It’s time for people to stop playing stupid or being stupid… stop giving them a free pass to scam you day after day. Enough.
Yeah, I’ve watched him play it a few times. I watched a bit yesterday I think it was. I hate make believe, but I respect how seriously they take it while you know… still knowing it’s just a game, whereas people in SC 2 make their reality make believe, which is just sad. Truly crossing the line.
This is what I’m watching: h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1my0d5iKMw
A journalist posed as a crazy person to get into an insane asylum and she couldn’t leave because no one believed she was sane. So how big can the difference really be?
There’s so much more to twitch now than just gaming. You’re not even that old. I’ve watched this guy before Randy in Saudi Arabia. Some 40 year old American dude driving around Saudi trying to get lunch at a fast food place.
You can tell he’s one of those rich business guys, since he’s driving an iced out Suburban or something. These are the kind of people you can find on just chatting. It’s very educational. And the first time I was watching his stream, guy was going to the KFC in Saudi Arabia.
Apparently Saudi has all the American fast food companies there. But then he got into an argument with the drive guy and was like give me my money back. He’s like get the manager I don’t want the food I want my money back. I was like wow, this is the exact reason why I hate going to drive-thrus in America. Small world.
Another good guy to check out, this guy Mikeiy. He’s a bike messenger in New York. Makes deliveries for Uber Eats and streams it. Dude rides around New York City with his camera showing the whole city as he delivers. You get really stunning views just by watching.
One other I’ll mention, this girl called ImJasmine. Apparently she live streams her whole life or something. Really nice girl. She was in Japan and showing Tokyo and stuff like that. I think she’s from California or something? Not sure. But I’ve already learned so much about other countries just by watching.
They’re all doing it now bro. SC2 streamers will jump on the hot tub bandwagon just like they did to the social eating a few years back.
You will have to link me to some of these. No girl ones (no guy love, though)…
I’ve tried to listen to some Arabian music with this site: h ttp://radio.garden/settings
It’s pretty cool getting to listen to music from everywhere in the world. I was checking out Saudi Arabia, as I always liked the uniqueness of their sound.
That sounds cool. I’d like to see that sometime. I watched a movie/documentary once on guys who do that job in New York.
They don’t let me post links yet. All I’ve been able to do are the youtube videos. Just go to the just chatting section on twitch you can easily find all of them.
It’s really cool. He’s streaming now but he’s calling it a rain day so he isn’t delivering. These guys make a lot of money. I was actually telling him to work for Door Dash in his chat, since he could probably make more there than at Uber Eats.
You see how I usually post links. I don’t know the methodology. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can’t. I feel like I get to post a link like once month, lol. I normally don’t try to even post them. Even if I could, I still try not to. I don’t want to “burn my link ability.”
You just post the link and put a space between a letter… anyone can figure out what to “type in” and Blizzard can’t prevent that. Don’t click on insert hyperlink if that’s what you’re doing…
You can easily use the search bar on twitch just type bike messenger.
any GM can have that win rate ranking up a new account.
Not a new account. I was 19-1 P vs P when I first got into GM on Korea. Like I’m totally not at 90% or anything crazy in the other matchups, despite always having a crazy P vs Z rec on NA in GM.
