How do people play only 1 game for so long?

I’m the kind of gamer that plays all kinds of games, if I’m not doing that I’m watching movies or anime ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It’s like those people that only play league of legends and get all pissy and triggered all day. I think half of y’alls frustration comes from just playing the same game all day it sounds boring tbh.

I play the same games for ages, it’s like marriage

I think the rage comes from competition, not repetition.

There is also a lot of depth and variation to SC2.
Like currently I’m playing gateway-oriented protoss, and it’s completely different to any playstyle I’ve employed before (especially since I mostly played Zerg). But even now after playing the game for years, I’ve found a new, enjoyable style that seems to suite me very well.

How do people play chess for so long?

How do people play football for so long?

How do people play soccer/basketball/… bantering… chatting… eating… breathing for so long? Seems like a lot of people are boring.

well sports are boring imo so yeh lul
agreed breathing is overrated

This.

Each game is different though compositions may be similar or the same, each game will never be the same, because you’re facing different opponents on differing maps and using different strategies.

I have the following simple strategy for avoiding repetition: do a slightly different cheese or timing each game

I got frustraded a lot in League but not in SC2 because when I lose is entirely my fault, I can correct my mistakes and improve to the game. Even if you play casualy the feeling of evolution in SC2 is stronger than any other team games.

SC2 is the only good game though. xD

Then you are a bit different than many others. I just gave examples. I hope that answers your curiousity of your thread, if not:

Sc2 is considered a sport for most.

different strokes for different folks.

some people love repetition / getting better at something.

some people are happy being mediocre at everything they do.

i personally love the progression of each player in sc2, that is to say, everyone is playing at their own pace, working on their own problems, learning more about the game.

starcraft has so much to it you can’t just learn it easy and become a top player within a few weeks, it takes a lot of time and patience, another ability some people don’t have that is required to become good at this game, and once you become good at this game it gets more fun.

while i was having fun just learning, now that i’m masters i can do all sorts of neat micro tricks that end up in big laughs or blunders ! i absolutely love tricking people to walk into my banelings…

That can be a very fun composition, I do it a lot too. Just keep expanding, making gateways, making probes, etc and you eventually end up with 30 gates and just win through pure attrition.

anime ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , ahh another man of culture here. Yeah i play other games , mostly single player oriented games , SC 2 is the only multiplayer game that makes it very challenging and with less microtransactions like Overwatch. But yeah the ladder is so frustrating sometimes that games like Tomb Raider , DOOM , Witcher makes it more relaxing after some SC 2 smurf ladder games.

For sure.
Throwing DTs into every mineral line regularly and blink-sniping any long-term tech investment units your opponent makes turn this into an amazingly viable style if you’re aggressive

Smurfing is not something to be proud of.

i dont smurf , but i met many smurfs thats why the ladder is so tiring.
