How are people able to find alt accounts?

Occasionally on the forum I see people call out alt accounts here. I wondered to myself for a while. How are people able to figure out alt accounts. This is the only account I’ve ever posted on these forums with FYI although I have 2 other accounts I play SC2 on sometimes.

Most commonly, its one or two trolls (goba and batz come to mind) who have such a specific, obvious posting style that you can just sort of tell. Other than that, occasionally people just out themselves as being on the alt account for whatever reason. Its not frequently a secret except for the trolls trying to make their opinions seem more popular than they are.

People can’t stand the idea that someone else, who they hate, is actually popular and that other people actually like their posts, so they invent wild conspiracy theories involving their antagonists hiding behind every account which posts things they don’t like. Translation, a bunch of schizo’s browse these boards.

I feel like you’ve asked this question many times. It’s pretty obvious that there’s only a select few making accounts. One particular person takes the persona of a dog, turkey, streamer, superhero, and whatever other names. This same person also virtue signals, uses incorrect statistics, lashes out at people like a child when proven wrong, the list goes on. Once you’re a regular here, you can easily identify who they are even when their account gets banned. It’s in their language.

Gee I wonder who I’m talking about?

im 99% batman isnt batz. Batz is like a supervillain while batman is legit retarded (he’s a terran whiner just like me but dear lord that guy is big dum dum)

Or is that part of batz trolling. I’m getting paranoid…

I think there is a more recent Batman account that has been popping around that’s not him, but in the past like many months ago, I’m pretty sure that was one of his usernames.

My reaction when forum trolls tempt me to use multiple accounts:
