Winning game 1 vs Gumiho, playing protoss.

Clem’s protoss looked so rough man. Not sure if shakey or just meh? His aggression is always his strong suit though.

Ironically, this was a PvT finals.

Honestly not a terrible finals either. Clem taking 2 games playing his offrace is pretty surprising.

Reddit’s beliefs are detached from reality on a range of subjects least of which is sc2. It’s an inherent flaw of the website and can’t be fixed. A good example is how they were 100% convinced kamala had it in the bag and then had a rude awakening on election day. As bad as their understanding of politics is, their understanding of every other subject is just as bad if not worse.

If you want to understand how Reddit works, then study the works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was a natsee dissident and wrote about how the natsees fanaticized their followers. The same methods are used on redditors.

Bonhoeffer points out that evil has limitations in the damage it can do because people recognize it as evil & fight against it. Stupidity on the other hand has no such limitations. Stupidity has wrecked more harm than evil throughout history, and this is because they have the will to do good but lack the ability to ensure a good outcome. The real world is complicated and so they valiantly strive to solve a problem but ultimately they only create a gigantic mess. Ironically, they believe they fixed everything.

That’s reddit in a nutshell. The system is designed to magnify and embolden the unintelligent do-gooders. It’s an inherent flaw of the system.

It would be better for balance to be put into the hands of an evil but intelligent player who would rig balance for his own benefit than to let reddit design it. This player would at least put restrictions on how far he would push the advantages because he would know that too big of an advantage would create resistance. While he’s an evil man seeking to use the system to enrich himself, it still creates a better outcome than the cycle of destruction created by people who simply don’t know anything about the system they are trying to fix. There are no limitations to the damage wrought by these people. The more damage they cause, the more zeal they have to fix the problem. But, lacking the ability to fix it, they perpetuate deeper into the cycle of destruction motivated even more by the even greater need to fix the even greater problems they’ve created.

Adherence to these people is exactly how sc2 got into the mess that it’s currently in. They people should be ignored. Their frustrations are rooted in their abilities as players. They know absolutely nothing about balance.

Yes and No. No Wonder why gumiho lost vs Nightmare. His tvp looked so Bad. After scouting blink Opener He randomly decides for a moveout in Match 3 or 4 and dies? In the other Match He got a Clear big lead and fumbles and fumbles and fumbles again and then finally got the win  He Played so Bad. Im Not the only one noticeing it.

Gumihos TVT Lookes so good. Beating maru and all. Clem saw gumihos tvp and smelled His Chance.

But then gumiho was Like OK you got No defense because No Overcharge so you die.

NGL, Clem’s TVP looked pretty shakey for someone at 6.7k; he likely almost exclusively played PvP at that level.

True. But He got no Tournament experience with toss.

Gumiho however…

He looked very very shakey considering he is a pro terran playing vs clems offrace.

Imho clem actually did play better, but due to the higher experience that gumiho has plus the current imbalance/weak defense in pvt earlygame, gumiho won.

Are people seriously complaining about the mothership? If it had it’s perma cloak field still, sure I get it…but without that IDK man.

Seems to be that the issue is probably the deathball of airtoss and archons that accompanies it which is doing the heavy lifting and the Mommaship is just a red herring because it’s big, bold and beautiful.

It is because Protoss is unbelievably strong. Its kind of a joke that the strongest Protoss players are the top Terran/Zergs. Bigger joke that anyone pushes for buffs to a race that doesn’t make high end tournament finals because their players just suck.

In the end, HSC once again created a really nice atmosphere. Always relaxed and entertaining. I always like it when you get the insights of a top player and the status of the game written. or sometimes a just sakastic.
The only hack were the lags and technical problems.
