I heard blizzard was doing a patch for ladder. Can we also get one for coop? Nothing flashy a few numbers tweaks on underperforming prestiges would be enough.
No patch or small fix will bring co op back to life. The only possible solution that i did write a few years back, and everyone called me mad… was to give us option to customize, make maps, change heroes, use editor , i am sure that people would make tons of improvements to prestige points , heroes, maps , the way difficulty scales… they dont care. -99% of people left this game anyway
My queues never last more than 5-10 seconds. Coop seems far from dead.
yep, your mad alright, coop is just as strong as ever. i get games faster in that then 1v1 or teams.
If you want to make changes, you can go into Custom tab and play the game there with extra options (search on “[MM]” IIRC, without the double quotes)
There’s Nexus Coop also in Custom where the communities added other COs like Tosh, and other Missions like Sky (Star?) Fall (the one based on that LotV campaign mission)
If you’re talking about modifying Coop itself… I’m against that. Too many differences of opinions, we’d never get anywhere. And if we did, I’d say that would fracture the community. For example, before prestige came out, we had some that called for removing Karax from the roster. It would’ve been a shame since his prestiges made him VERY viable. Or for some Missions to be removed. We only have 15 of them, so removing 2 to 5 of them would be a significant number right there.
And then nm that Blizzard sure as hell wouldn’t want to cede control of their own game to the public. Sure, Coop could use new content (1 to 2 COs of each race, 1 to 5 more Missions, more balance changes), but it’s still in a very good spot now…
On (regular) Brutal, you can get in a game as quickly as immediately to 7 seconds. You may have to wait 30 to 60 seconds if it’s in the middle of the night, but the fact that you can queue up for a game at 3:30 am local time, is impressive given even good games can’t even get enough of a player base (in fact, some indie games even resort to giving out free copies of their games!) ![]()
Mutations… similar.
Brutal+… not so much. I’ve had difficulty getting in games of this in the wee hours of the night, but it’s still possible. Not too shabby considering it’s 14 year old game, with Coop having hit the 10-year mark.
