Blizzard, now is the time to make SC III. You should have done it during the pandemic, but lost opportunities and all that…
Just get it done! We have been waiting 20 years for it, so do it!
I am in my 50’s and still enjoy it. Make #III so I can keep playing into my 60’s!!

how can you have been waiting 20 years when sc2 is not even 14 yo yet.
First have lern from StarCraft 1 to 2 and would make same mistake if make 3rd one.
I think they export units that was never balance instead of fixing it they made it worse. Then either out fear or favorit they never fixed it just made more over powering units.
Now i think as long they take aspect balance more serious.

i somewhat agree on that and i think that blizzard should combine both versus and custom but only to make lobbies for either clan tournies or something else
I’ve been playing StarCraft since 1998 and I’m still enjoying both games today. That being said; I don’t trust modern Blizzard with a sequel or even a spin-off, especially now that almost everyone who worked on either title has left the company. Nor do I trust the gaming industry overall with the trends all the major developers have been chasing.
I’m content continuing to grind SC2 achievements and checking out some of the more obscure content from both games including the old Map of the Week/Trigger Map of the Month entries from 1998-2001.
What would be the point of a sequel when SC2 has everything you could need for the StarCraft gaming experience. I don’t even think it needs a graphics update but if that is something they could improve they could simply update the current game.
Are you looking for more content? They could also just add that to the existing game.
SC2 is a 14 year old game at this point. If nothing else, to continue actually being a good “Starcraft Gaming Experience” they need to start updating a lot of the background infrastructure to use modern hardware and systems. It would be better to just make Starcraft 3 than try and engineer all that stuff back into the SC2 client.
Yes they can make those changes to the engine and push them live.
And even if they were to make a StarCraft 3, it wouldn’t be build from the ground up, they would use the existing source to build from.
Thats how software development works in 2024.
Nobody is building anything from scratch.
Did you know that a popular horse skin in wow made MORE Money than the entire revenue of SC2 of it’s existence? Let that sink in…
Micro transactions is the money maker and the interest of Blizzard, and they decided a long time ago to give up on SC 3.
The only chance for us to see the light of sc3 is if Blizzard sells the right to ForstGiant so they can make this game.
