I am trying to figure out what is the benefit of playing P2 or P3?
When will you want to build 10+ Strike platforms with double the cost? (P3)
And P2… At its current state what is the goal with it? Seems like way to minor boost to focus on Horner?

P3 is for sitting your base on DoN and bombing all the structures or for certain mutations (which I don’t play a lot of) like void rifts.
For most prestiges, they’re meant to offer different playstyles rather than straight upgrades from P0.
For P2, the change in playstyle is that you can now mass up on Horner’s air fleet easier when compared to the other prestiges. The BCs are fantastic at tanking with a consistent DPS. You don’t want to rely heavily on Han’s units.
For P1, it focuses more heavily on Han’s units with their improved on death ability. You don’t want to rely heavily on Horner’s units.
For some reason H&H didn’t get a P3. Better to just focus on P1 and P2. \s
P1 needs a fix because of the bugged death mastery or rather vice versa.
I haven’t played with P2 but HH battlecruisers are pretty friggin amazing so anything that lets me spam them should be playable.
You definitely don’t play p3 for mutation with goal of using strike platform the cost made ramp up too slow you get rekt before you can even get to 10 platform with that cost no need to mention past the limit
P1 Are much faster in DoN combine Mag mine and strike platform still have spare mineral to pump out reaper to push
HH P3 is probably the concencus worst prestige is the game. The idea is obviously to focus on the strike platforms, but rarely do you need more than 10, and the increased cost is crippling to focusing on the platforms. In practice, it’s a nerf of P0.
P2 is fun. Your army becomes a small, elite force rather than the large, expendable army that HH usually uses. BC’s are popular, but mass wraiths are also very effective.
HH p3 still function normally without the strike fighter. Abathur p3 is not so lucky with his normal biomass unit being half as strong on top of an ultimate cost twice the biomass
I almost mentioned that one because I know it’s bad. I’m not an Abathur player though so I’m less familiar with how it would affect him. Those are good points though; at least HH has the majority of their kit to work with. Abathur has his core mechanic nerfed.
Tweaks needed for P3
for 1… allow Strike fighters to hit air
for 2 make losing the strike fighter more impactful…
My Proposed HH P3
So you can stop any wave with ~5-6 fighters, but 2 or 3 of them will take 3 minutes to come back. (unlike the ones that are back in a minute)… and chipping away at things that have anti air defense is a bad idea. (you want to launch waves of them)
Yes, we can work out the details of the nerf but the air aoe would be the scale tipper for usefulness. Without alteration I dont think a double price for the platforms is too much of a cost.
After having cranked out 30-40 platforms as part of a comedy build I can tell you that space is as much a limitation as cost. So there wont need to be a nerf to stop them from being a I win button as they would have a built in cap based on space especially on a map like DoN where it would be the most likely to generate an i win condition.
ugh, that prestige really pisses me off, it could have been so many better things.
Last couple of mutations were in theory good for P3, DoN and Void Rifts.
Did anyone actually use P3 in these “good for P3” cases?
Maybe if you’re playing with the Kerrigan version that extort even more resources from the enemy, making costly stuff more easy to get?
P2 simply moves the focus away from Reapers
Viking + Hellion + Strike Fighter is good and is my favorite playstyle, in all of coop tbh, but really any mass starship will do
Saturate gas early. Can rush starship before 5:00 (or shortly after 5:00 if BC) or rush expo. Upgrade Shredder or Trigger for first starships if going viking or wraith
Try to contribute before 6:00 if you rush expo; can be done with Vikings or wraiths or use 1 carrier if going BC
Up carriers vs mass air. Make BC vs BC; horner’s are actually good, and they will tank hits for the Vikings and wraiths
