Got 3 Smurfs in a row! No reason to play 1v1 right now!

There is literarily no point to play 1v1 if you are lower than Masters league, the ladder is crawling with Smurfs.

I just had 3 games in a Row with 3 different smurfs (every lost game is 0-1 sec insta leave, every game played is won for all of these 3 different smurfs)

I say we all stop playing 1v1, and let the smurfs play against themselves.

could you elaborate more.
you mean freelose accounts with higher mmr?

wouldnt the mmr quickly set in to the same lvl than the original account am i right?

but i think you’re right - if you feel you dont enjoy gameplay why bother wayste time playing it.

I started playing Smurfs heaps my apm went up by 50 on average I played almost. it let me know heaps of openings I had were I was going wrong.

it may be not fun versing harder players all the time but it makes you better player in the long run

and when you see how far u came from when u first started well that’s something.

I know record don’t look good but iv improved heaps some times u got to take backward steps to improve.

but I know what your going through about Smurfs and allies throwing games. I think 1v1 is were its at then u don’t have to worry what your partners doing.

no.
as descriped in the original post, the smurfs simply leave a bunch of games and then play and dominate every match they wanted to. but they do need to leave every second match on average. you could go like 20 wins in a row (if on average you gain 25 mmr per won match its still only 20*25=500 mmr; meaning you dont really face difficult opponents if you are at lets say 3500 mmr and smurfing from 2200 mmr to 2700 mmr. A 3500 mmr has no issues dealing with a 2700 mmr player) and then you lose 20 matches in a row.

now you repeat the process as long as you want to have fun and there is nothing stopping you.

You go to the opponent’s Match History, you look at all his lost games (if he never plays just insta leaves so the person can get into lower MMR league s) then you check his wins( they are all played games).

So that means the player never loses when he plays, and then he always will just leave dozens of games making sure the person stays 2 leagues or more below his real MMR. That is called smurfing)

So end up for example a Plat player just trying to learn the game and you face real Master players, that are smurfing.

More like unless youre top 200. All masters is now is smurfs.

Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense to play 1 vs 1 anymore, it is sad, it is the best RTS ever, just no one takes care of it.

Except the fact, that most of playerbase already quit (numbers are dropping down every season) and soon only try-hards, most devoted and loyal players will remain. At this point i guarantee you, you will not win a single game if you’re not at least diamond.

I am pretty sure Smurf are matching up with other smurfs, at least daily, this is becoming hilarious.

ah i get now what you mean, you mean THAT!

i purposely sabotaged my account in the early days of WoL. because i played war3 at the too high level and suffered constant stress. i wanted to see the life from the perspective of a noob.

Smurfs are pathetic human beings. You’d have to be pretty F#$@!& in the head to get any satisfaction out of beating a player that’s much less skilled than you. They’re a cancer to gaming and they’ll continue to drive away any new players that may come in from gamepass or whatever, until there’s no one left to play but other smurfs.

Smurfs are the worst human beings, we can agree on that; While our small community is spending money to keep SC 2 alive, supporting and donating to tournaments (big and small), to streamers/casters/pro players etc.

At the same time, these people, by smurfing they are going to destroy completely SC2, and very soon.

yes I was also playing a lot of 1v1s…in silver league…and getting a lot of smurfs…but it wasn’t just smurfs…like a lot of them were about my level but they just did the most abusive strategies possible in the game…like I lost to a guy with 34 APM but he had mass ghosts, missile turrets everywhere and mass battlecruisers…and a few thors and liberators…I miscalculated making only zerg air units…I just had to take a break for a while. Also there’s quite a few guys worker rushing, cheesing, base racing etc…it’s absolutely exhausting…Im tired of outperforming my opponents and still losing anyways. I went back to campaign.

These types of games where: you actually scout the guy’s attack, defend well, you counter attack, and deal some DMG, and are actually ahead.

But you loose, because the Smurf is 2 leagues ahead of you, and his macro is on another level.

And at the end he is toying with you, making disrespectful plays (probably because he is upset, that you played well at the beginning, better than him)

At the end, you checked his match history, you see he is a Smurf, and it was just a waste of your time.

It is the worst!

yep and also check the score screen afterwards as well and the replays. They could even be cheating although that isnt super likely. But chances are good that your opponent skipped something…to get that dirt cheap win over you…it’s usually either upgrades, tech, workers…they are trying to accomplish more with less effort…so there’s no real honesty or dignity anymore…at least with guys like Total Biscuit and inControL there was some level dignity in their gameplay…now all of the major pros and streamers are mostly leaning in to the cheesing, smurfing and other BS…look at even pro level tournament games…how the early game is often back and forth with cheap light units like adepts, reapers, oracles and other nonsense units that shouldn’t even be in the game to begin with.
