I encountered a very weird situation in a game of SC2 with the new patch last night. I was Z (I’m only ever Z, really) and in one of the four games of Direct Strike (arcade) I played with regular party mates, the game didn’t let me morph hydras into lurkers. Luckily, we prevailed without me needing to build them, but that’s not always going to be the case.

the patch does not effect direct strike. all custom games in the arcade are there own entity, and have nothing to do with the patchs put out by blizzard.

I suppose it’s merely coincidence that after >6k games of Direct Strike, I encountered this glitch for the first time ever only a few hours after the latest patch rolled out.
yep pure coincidence. as again, the patch doesnt affect direct strike. Direct strike was made by players, not blizzard, it is maintained by players, not blizzard. This is the case with all arcade games. Who ever made the direct strike maps is the one you need to contact, but good luck with that.
Apparently the morph button was overridden because of the new ability, and the hp was affected as well… Tya should fix it soon

It’s just very odd to me that it happened in only one of the four games we played–and that game was neither the first nor the last in the quartet. Our party remained the same in all four games; only the opponents changed. That’s why I’m suspicious of a more insidious cause.
Not true. Many custom maps pull data from existing dependancies so that the map makers don’t havent to star from scratch. Seeing that direct strike is obviously heavily sc2 based, its very likely its using at least one of the dependencies. So if the patched changed them, then everything that uses them will change too. The map just needs custom fixes to counter the changes.
Edit. Seems when it comes to custom games and editor baseds topics you probably shouldnt be trying to throw your weight around. I seem to remember a flat wrong yet confident (aka douchey) contribution you tried to make to someone having trouble with the editors regions.
