That’s why you scout the opponent with your worker. It is the basic. If the opponent invest in Forge before gate, and you know about it, then you just get a Freelo.

So are many things, honestly cannon rush is at the bottom of priorities when it comes to any sort of issues. They’re annoying but perfectly balanced.

i think it’s unfun to play against but not impossible to defend. I always just didn’t give them high ground vision and i was fine
In WOL/HOTS i have defended every single cannon rush ez/pz. In LOTV i defended all cannon rushes as well, but always lose to follow-up. Even if this idiotic strategy doesn’t win you game outright usually it puts cheesing player in economic advantage because it prevents you from expanding and they take their natural and their eco just skyrockets whereas you are on one base and you’re trying to do gimmicks like medivac drops or nydus.
Perfectly executed cannon rush is (nearly) unbeatable.

That’s the thing; if they’re doing a perfectly executed cannon rush with their nat behind it into a follow up push; that’s really, really solid play. So while it’s frustrating…that’s because when you get stepped on that hard it’s never fun and it’s hard to learn new stuff when it’s just 10 minutes of getting thrashed at every turn from a build order you had to botch in order to not die.
Can you tell me exactly when Maru lost to cannon rush ? I tried to find it on Youtube, but the only video where Maru is getting cannon rushed is Maru vs Prince, and Maru actually won that map.
It’s hilarious seeing the clueless people saying that Cannon Rush is a strategy that only kills low league players when we have a multitude of examples, recent and old, of top tier pros gaining massive advantage because of cannon rush. Especially in PvZ.
I dont even remember the last time I saw a canon rush work in professional PvZ. We hardly see it all and if we do it is PvP. But at the highest levels, it still rarely works.
U are missing out games then, Neeb just won 2 games recently vs Reynor carried in the back of a massive lead Cannon Rush gave him.

Cannon rushes are excellent openers which can win games or put you so far ahead it’s hilarious.
I’ve been absolutely murdering masters with it even though I’m out of practice.
