Game Freezes/Refreshes During Play

I’m having issues for the last 2 weeks when playing SC in-game. My screen freezes for a second or two, then refreshes back to the game. It’s random, but happens several times during a game. Sometimes the SC screen freezes to a blank screen and I have to restart my computer to get back to SC. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled SC, rebooted my modem & router, cleared cache, and there were no security issues noted.

I’ve tried playing SC after closing all apps. I’ve even restarted the computer without opening any apps except SC, but it still happens.

Computer info: PC Desktop (Dell 8950, purchased Dec 2022), W11 latest version, Chrome & Edge browsers, haven’t added any new hardware recently. I’ve been playing SC on this computer since it was new 2 years ago without a problem until now.

Any help would be appreciated. Happens in Co-op and more often in Versus.

In Sc2 I have had the same things happen when trying to go into the “Melee” section, except my game freezes, and I have to task manager close it… In general Sc2 has been very laggy lately… I have a good computer and sc2 has always ran good on it until now.

Also I did the same thing with restarting and only opening sc2… same result.

I may have found the issue. The problem started not too long after the W11 v23H2 was auto-updated. I download/installed the next update preview version 24H2 (under Settings, Windows Update). It seems (after 1 day) to have mostly resolved the issue. Let’s hope it’s fixed now.
