Because making an idiotic comment and demanding to be proven wrong creates a position of power in his delusional mind.
If he had any true interest in his claims, he’d lay out every suggestion with detailed facts and would be dying to provide his well documented proof.
Instead, he “suggests” you spend time finding the proof yourself, or pretends to have solutions that he won’t divulge(unless the balance team asks him lmao).
I have said dozens of times that I got GM 1 time with each race over the entire span of SC2 so far. That’s 9 years of SC2 with dozens of meta’s, unit balance issues, etc to rise into the ranks and get GM at least once with each race with the SC skills that I have. I never said that I am currently GM and all my current profiles are not GM.
So have I been GM?. Yes.
Am I GM right now?. No.
It’s not about the attention.
I’m almost ready to show off the changes in my balance mod, just been working on a big update and polish over the last few months since I legitimately do want to get these changes right and get them into the game and work with the balance team on SC2.
Mate, this does not constitute evidence for “MyOhMind is/was GM”.
This should be trivial. Post a link to your profile whose highest finish was Grandmaster. Or log into the game, open up your profile, and take a screenshot. The link should be less effort, though.
That’s what people are asking for. If you can’t even provide that, well, nobody’s gonna believe you.
I mean, a link to one’s profile to verify this claim shouldn’t be too much trouble, right? Look, I’ll even demonstrate.
I am a Silver League player.
Now, this isn’t hard to believe; lots of people are Silver League. It’s not particularly interesting. But let’s say someone asked me to prove it anyway.
Are you talking about current accounts or accounts that I used to be GM on?. Those are very different accounts and the GM ones have been gone for a while. I came back to SC2 a little before the F2P update and have been back since.
The topic being Zerg late game and the power of infestors in large numbers does make a lot of sense since it’s factual.
Define “gone”. I don’t think such records just disappear into thin air like that, so unless you somehow closed the account yourself (which I don’t know is possible; never tried and never heard of anyone else trying), they should still exist. Of course, then we need to get into whether or not the account is/was actually yours…
Either which way, the takeaway should be: Don’t make claims you’re not prepared to back up. Your word alone is not good enough.
I ended up deleting those old accounts because I had to deal with some important life stuff, which sucked since I really wanted to be a competitive SC2 player before that stuff had to be handled. But now I’m back with a fresh start.
as far as i know there is absolutely NO WAY to completely delete an account. holy hell, you’ll tell any lie just to be like “yup i can’t do it” ROFL. maybe you just shouldn’t be a liar?
Citation needed. Far as I can tell, that’s not possible. It sure isn’t possible now. Maybe it was at the time, although I doubt that very much and it’s on you to prove it.
It’s more than that; in this case, “actions” are the only voices that actually matter.
That’s… not an excuse; you should still be able to find the old one. As we’ve established, you can’t just erase an account. The old one must exist if you’re telling the truth, and it’s on you to prove it does.
Considering how little evidence you’ve been providing – yes, I’ve been following this conversation – I doubt that very much. You should have provided links to demonstrate your claims. You should be providing them right now, actually. Talk is cheap.
Of course, even if you had provided links, the discussion doesn’t stop there; the evidence has to be examined, too…
