My first win of the day counter is stuck at 6/10 and Ive won more than 10 matches over more than 10 days. I can’t play ranked games. Help.
you need ten wins against ai or unranked per day to play the ladder. thats ten each day
The first-win-of-the-day is on a timer that must roll over before you play the next game. The way to know for sure that you got it is to look for the FWotD bonus on the score screen. And make sure you’re playing the correct game modes (Vs AI or Unranked).
As for the timer it’s 22 hours (not 24 hours).
Here’s what to look for:
It’s a single first-win-of-the-day, meaning only one game a day, on ten separate days.

Unranked multiplayer, with access to Ranked granted after the first 10 wins of the day in Unranked or Versus A.I.
and you highlighted bonus xp for first win of the day, which has absolutely nothing to do with if he can play ranked. I dont think you actually read his question, which is kinda bad leviathan being your customer support.
I agree it’s not very clear the way it’s written.
It’s not wholly wrong though. “First win of the day” is a bounty that is given upon the first time the game is won 1) on a given day, 2) which relies on a timer that begins counting down after the win.
But since it is worded a bit poorly, I’ll show it to Bliz to see if they want to clarify it.
That’s not the case.
It is the FWotD that advances the counter. When that entry appears on the score screen, the counter advances by one. Thus, 10 of those are needed to unlock Ranked.
I highlighted it to demonstrate what Toasty needs to see on the score screen in order to advance the counter.

Yes, he needs 10.
Not 10 wins in one day (that you stated above). It’s one win a day on 10 separate days, with the additional requirement that there are 22 hours between the wins.
And the way to immediately know if the win counts is if the FWotD bounty appears on the score screen.

Alright, First i just want to appologize to leviathan, hes right about the first win of the day. Secondly, yes its bugged and stuck at six. Started a new account after this just to see for my self and now mines stuck at 6 out of 10.

I’ve created a new account and started the process of winning the 10 games. Once I get to the 7th game and see if it counts or not, I’ll post back here to update the thread.
If I can replicate it, it may help those who investigate the issue.
thats what i did and its now stuck at six, todays win should of been the seventh but its not progressing. Ill post an update tomorrow and see if if moves. But its definatly looking bugged.
now today its moved to 7 out of 10 with the first win of the day. My first six were against ai, and yesterday when it got stuck at six when it should of been 7 that was an unranked 1v1 match. and today i did the ai again and it now went to 7. hopefully this helps you out leviathan
I just played my 7th game and the counter did progress from 6 to 7.
One thing to note is that I’ve played all VSAI games, no Unranked. WinterKnight’s last post above suggests that maybe it’s an issue with Unranked not counting correctly.
I’m going to keep going to 10 just for completion’s sake.
EDIT
I was able to get the 10 wins of the day to count each time. Again, this was playing VSAI. So if there is an issue, it may be something to playing Unranked.
