Iirc, it’s supposed to match the logo selected in Starcraft 2 (Stetmann in my case). It used to, but at some point it was replaced with a picture with SC2 on it. On my Battle.net profile it still shows Stetmann - https://imgur.com/a/h0Vh1Nq. I couldn’t find a menu where it can be changed. How can I get it to show my Stetmann avatar?
In my case, I changed back and forth my portrait ingame, played Versus/Co-op games to “validate” it, logged out of the forum then back in after clearing caches, lots of times.
It didn’t work.
Then one day it worked, I’m not sure it was even after a log out then log back in.
…
And just now I tampered with my browser, and it’s not working again.
So, you can try many things, but there’s a possibility nothing will work, then one day it work again, and you won’t really know if what you tried was meaningful or not

You can try logging out and logging back in here and in game.
Just tried, through what Ji’nara would have called a “pathetic display”, to evolve into Silver in Versus ( it’s completely what I was trying to do :whistle: ), that’s not a solution either obviously.
The worst thing about this, is that outside the forum, and for ingame, I would actually like to have this image as a portrait lol, but it’s not available.
edit: tried to “clear blizzard cache”, didn’t help either, still the sc2 icon after logging out and back in, I guess it may be the server-side cache that could use a clearing 
It is conceivable the forum is in another region than your main character. Twelve years ago I made a US account because I didn’t know about regions. That account is level zilch; but I think that’s why I don’t have an avatar either. Either that or :blizzardcode: LOL
A while back this started happening. Eventually it was fixed, however it seems to have reverted.
With the game being out of developement coupled with the websites/APIs being secondary to the game, there’s no way to know when or if it will be fixed again.
