The block function in SC2 is straight-up broken. I block spam accounts, hop into a game, come back, and—surprise—they’re still in chat. They’re on my blocked list, but it doesn’t do anything. Others have had the same issue for years, and Blizzard hasn’t touched it.
I reached out to customer support, and it was a joke. They dodged my questions, ignored the real issue, then wrapped it up by thanking me for my Warcraft feedback… which is funny, because I don’t even own Warcraft. What kind of lazy copy-paste response is that?
Meanwhile, SC2 General Chat is flooded with bots pushing bigotry and nonsense. It’s obvious—these accounts either get bought, use a workaround, or just spam until they’re banned and pop up again the next day. It’s a cycle that never stops.
But now I can’t even block them? Seriously?
Forget fixing the block button—it’s clearly a lost cause. Why not use an AI chat bot or even a simple text filter to mute or auto-block spammers? This isn’t rocket science. A volunteer could set this up for free.
I get it, SC2 is old. But does that mean Blizzard’s just going to let the chat rot with spam and hate?
