new to starcraft2 and finally calibrated my rank after 5 games. i went against this terrain player who swarmed me with +35 battlecrusier tactical jumping to my main base and a protoss that gave me hell with many carriers after his immortal colossal and phoenix army failed. i wish i knew how to upload replays to better explain the situation. i thought i only had to look out for rushing players. i thought a more diverse army would win games?

In general, More beats Less in SC2 until you get to Masters

how many ranks are in ranked?
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond
Master
Grandmaster
Each League has Tiers 3-1 (Gold 3 < Gold 2 < Gold 1) with the exception of Grandmaster.
Grandmaster is the top 200 MMRs on a given server
MMR is your Match Making Rank (similar to ELO)
You also have a league Rank out of 200 for each league, but those don’t mean anything.
The game has a fairly steep learning curve.
You’re going to have many losses before you still solidifying basic mechanics. So being persistent is key.
