Fast moving unit compositions

D3 Zerg, I have a few questions and hopefully we can have some strategies posted here and for whoever may read.

I used to love watching high level fast paced reactionary games that involved ling/muta combos, I don’t see it as much anymore, and I’m wondering, Is it possible to climb using fast moving combos, possibly transitioning to ultra and brood lords in the late game. I see a lot of Zergs opt for using Roach/Rav into Roach/Hydra/Lurker combos which is a very strong combo and allows for strong timing pushes. But I wonder if there is still a strong fast moving swarm style build (that also works against protoss).

Are there any high level players with that fast paced playstyle I can look at?

What combos would be highly effective for moving fast across the map even in the mid-late game?

you wont see much of ling muta or anything like that at higher levels. And to be honest man, the reason why you dont see much of stuff like that anymore is its too easily counted by simple units, like wido mines. or templers with storms. untill the other races change your better off just going mass hydra with support units.

No way, so nowadays the best way to climb is to mass an army of Hydras? is there any good combos with it?

Also is there anything else that works right now in this current meta? My macro is solid but my compositions are currently awful and like you said, simple units absolutely destroy these fast paced composition.

its not really the meta hampering zerg its just people have realized how to counter us pretty good. as for good unit comps, just depends on what your going against. hydras pretty much demolish a good bit of terran army and toss army just by themselves with good macro, but depending on there unit comp just be smart.

If you see lets say a protoss ground army with colosus make some corrupters or even vipers for abduct. If the dudes storming alot, make him waste the majority of the storms then push in, stutter step through his army and what ever storms he has left. ( in this situation ive found they panic fire and end up storming there own units if your just stutter steping THROUGH there army) if there going carriers, attack early and fast before they get massed, kite the interceptors staying just far enough back that only a few front line units are being attacked and youll drain there interceptors till they have nothing, but like i said with this, youll need perfect micro and good timing and alot of scouting, altho usually if a toss walls off two base, you know its air almost imediately or some kind of prism drop. one of the two. as for voids, upgrades and stutter step, hydras just smash them. Mass phenix, target down the nix’s that pick up units, there blue so just right click them everytime they pick up and youll smash the army in 2 secs. as for tempest, if you see them dont try to chase and fight them, make him come to you, go straight for the main base and hell have to fight you, then you can just pick them off when they get too close. The rest of the toss ground army zel, stalk, imortal archon they all pretty much just die to hydras period so again stutter step through there army and kill them, just watch out for the mass charglot front line warp ins when attack into there base, youll need to kite them a bit. If hes got dts vision obviously, and anything basically kills dts.

As for terran, becarefull about mass tanks in choke positions maybe ad vipers for abduct, thors suck against hydra, actually pretty much every terran unit sucks against hydra if you CATCH them. key word there. the only real problem i seem to have is catch up to the cyclone, so again if units are faster than you, or can out range you, what do you do, you make them come to you. go for the main. bc’s can be a pain but they cost way more than a hydra meaning you can pump out 4 to 1 and build them 10x faster for that matter, again make them fight you, dont chase. make tons of spores at home so they cant warp in and when they try to attack yours you hit theres. They will either go for base trade or warp home and fight you on there ground.
