This is an appreciation thread for the really fun and skillful unit that really shapes up PvT and PvZ meta and makes for wonderfully balanced match up that is enjoyable for everyone. That is precisely the unit that allowed our hero, the top tier players SoS and Zoun, to defeat the scoudrel Rogue and Dream.
The disruptors allows the protoss to zone out ground armies and protect his air army from ground army with a hefty investment of 2-3 clicks. That represent about 20% of the protoss APM. At that very steep cost, protoss is able to protect their entire army while punishing adequately the opponent very their incredibly poor micro of not perfectly splitting their army with byun-like wrist-injury causing level of control. Finally, a skillful tool that allows protoss to truly express their infinite skill. Thank you blizz !
I would rather they just removed all T3 units. I mean, look at them, BCs Vipers, Carriers, they’re all clearly OP, just think about how many marines you would need to take out a single colossus.
Zerg shouldnt have such an early made unit who can destroy force fields. Protoss and terran have a long way to go until until archon/collosus and thor tech. It should have been moved to the swarm host or lurker. Starcraft 2 was balanced long before ravager was introduced, ravager only made the pvz swing even more in the zerg’s favor.
The big thing is that Zerg has considerably more reliance on melee or short ranged units. Do people really build Thors for the express purpose of popping force fields?
Right now without disruptors, protoss has no actual ground counter to marauders. In the past zealots countered marauders but with the charge nerf they no longer do. Storm tickles them, Colossus do no damage and immortals don’t have the range or mobility to be where you need to be vs marauders.
They also have no ground counter to lurkers currently meaning without them all zerg has to do is build lurkers and if the protoss isn’t already into a heavy skytoss army you lose. Though honestly that’s not too far off from where we already are but it’d just be worse.
Yeahhhhh no. Imagine saying that protoss doesnt have a counter to marauders because immortals require good positionning and focus fire… Man, protoss players have it so easy. Meanwhile we have MMM, the most micro intensive comp in the game, and we have to still match protoss with tech units.
Purification nova should do 70 damage, killing marauders in one shot is ridiculous. Even a clown like you knows that. Try to not be biased and think critically for 1 second
