Diamond - master

Hi i have a question, how to get from diamond to master, or what’s the difference between these two divisions? what masters do better than diamonds? I’m long time stucked in diamond and can’t figure out what i do wrong.

You probably dont have a solid build order

Play toss and just mass Zs… master the zealot and you will get the master rank that you want

Play Terran and master the MMM, which is FAR FAR FAR easier to do than “mastering” zealot. You’d get to grandmaster with that bio stuff.

MMM gets stomped by the unlimited splash options that toss just seem to pull out its A

Protoss gets stomped by literally anything else + Obviously aoe beats weak clumped up units.

practice timing pushes and cheeses and their transition into midgame.

There is a huge skill gap between a high diamond and a low diamond. Accept that.

You need a solid build order vs. each race and practice it until you execute it without thinking and learn to adapt and hold cheeses with some consistency. After that you will be Master in no time. I say that with experience as I spent years stuck in Diamond 2~1 before making the jump to Master.

tbh I’ve 13/12ed my way from silver league to diamond 2
haven’t tried to get to masters but I’m gonna see if this zerg cheese can do it

Let’s see some of your OP zealot replays since you bring it up multiple times a day. Let’s see how imba they really are based on your play

Thinking.
Compare with pro players’ replay. Why they did these? Why? They focus what?
Don’t do the same thing again and again.
Thinking. Compare.

And don’t ‘F2+A’, Please… You can use ‘F2’ to find the unit what you want to handle. But…don’t handle all units at the same time.

You can’t do well as them but you can get closed to them

you cant play mmm starting from 5k
you actually need to transition and add other things which might be beyond your comprehension

If you are zerg you can play with just f2.Saw a Heromarine clip in which he was dissapointed with a zerg player who was playing against him and had no control groups, not even queens, just f2.So with zerg you can rank up by massing units and attacking with a single key.

No…eh… You must make multiline-attack by banelings or roaches or other unit. F2 will destroy your strategy.

But the guy had no control groups, and wasnt noregret or some other infamous bad zerg playing long ago on a similar way?.Runbys only takes a few seconds, meanwhile you can box your units.

So what? Three base make many roaches rush is easy to learn. But you still win as protoss, you have chance. It’s balanced.

And the strategy is good for greenhand. GOOD. Make us have more firends.

Diamond: YOLO MAKE UNIT LOLOLOLOLOL
Master: Hmm… If I build 3 of X unit I can afford to transition 7 seconds faster if my bluff attack keeps the enemy busy.

It has been a long time since I have been master but what I remember is top diamond/master difference was top diamonds tried WAY harder through mid/later game and generally would not accept a loss (which made them more dangerous sometimes).

However, the biggest difference was that the top diamond stuff just hit later or had less stuff, sometimes later WITH less stuff. The difference was crisper timings. For example, I would scout an allin and would prepare, then wait an extra boring 15-20 seconds after it was supposed to hit. By this time it was extremely easy to hold no matter how good their micro was.

Timings always seemed to be the killer. When I played top master/rock bottom GM players I just could never hang with them because I’m sure they felt the same way about me and my timings.

dumb trolling.

Not that you can jsut go M GM with A move as Protoss but it is easier I think, yes it gets harder to be Protoss on pro/semi pro level.

Let those Protoss patrol think they are strong being Diam lol,
