So because of the event, I got my eyes on dehaka to lv him up, realized that most of his units are super good, can see why ppl likes the mutas and guardians, but none of them really eats all of his mineral unless you’re using lings/ravassaurs.
Really wished his static didn’t costed supply, but then again, that would make a Zeratul 2.0
So where can I burn minerals? Leave some supply to involve lings with my army?
Suicide dehaka for as much damage as possible and use the minerals for drones to revive him. Possibly the most cost effective thing you can do, as long as your hives can keep up drone production

Hell, if you’ve got THAT much, even make Ravasaurs!
Mineral dump is his static defense, the Wurm. Build a bunch of them, put in a control group, and burrow to anywhere his army goes.
His Wurm cost 2 supply each so by doing that, you will lower the army supply cap significantly. This is why you don’t see them using that much.
Ravassaurs also cost supply. So do other structures. What is your suggestion?
With his fat and elite units in a 200 supply army, supply is his least concern. Do you really need an army of 200 supply Muta?
And as you know, mineral dump means something to fill your supply until you get enough gas for a full army.
Well, yes. 200 supply of elite units is better than 150 supply of elite with some garbage. You don’t have to hurt your army overall strength just to make use of garbage mineral left over.
That is why it is called mineral dump, means to fill your supply until you get enough gas to get a full elite army. The mineral dump units are supposed to get rid of when you have gas to replace them.
In early game, Minerals are too precious to be called “Mineral dump”. In the mid game, the amount of minerals needed to create gas units are still very high to be called “Mineral dump”. In the late game, where the army is maxed that we have excess minerals that we can use on “trash unit” which is why we are calling it “Mineral dump”. Know the difference.
If you don’t have excessive mineral, you never think about mineral dump. End of story.
You only wonder what to make for mineral dump when you are floating on mineral.
And, when I play Dehaka, I always float on mineral.
Yes, because his trash unit for “Mineral dump” suck. If worm doesn’t cost supply, then it would be the perfect “Mineral dump” for Dehaka.
If you already have enough gas to make 200 supply of Muta, you don’t need any mineral dump, whether Wurm or anything else.
While you’re waiting to get enough gas, Wurm is a good option to spend excessive minerals, as they can teleport to anywhere you have vision, emergency detector, can attack air, good ability to focus on big health target, decent health to tank. In the end, just dump them into enemy base to free supply for your last Mutas.
You can’t make 200 supply of Muta though. His production building also cost supply. The most he can make is around 130 without hurting his economy.
Also, even if it was a perfect game without Dehaka die, you still won’t have that much excess minerals to be spending on 250 mineral building that die pretty fast in that stage of the game.
Of course not all 200 supply consist of only Muta, but you don’t start the game with enough gas to max 200 supply immediately. And again:
“If you don’t have excessive mineral, you never think about mineral dump. End of story.”
I don’t know how the hell you don’t have extra minerals with Dehaka, as his army is gas-starving. But that is your own thing. If you don’t need it, you don’t need it. My opinion is only for people who have extra minerals, not for you.
If you want, you can fill your army with roaches and primal igniters as a mineral dump. They only cost 25gas each and they are pretty effective.
The ravasaurs and zerglings are horrible so don’t even bother with them.
They are by far his most mobile unit. Plus he might not have to go back to base or waste cool downs on defense
My solution is simply not to max out drones on the expo minerals. Then later in the game sacrifice most of your mineral drones to free up supply if you want.
Dehaka army is mainly for the lols on vanilla Brutal
I spam Igniters and then Ultralisks for fun. Mutas of course when needed
Make about 4~5 Wardens and make expensive units first.
When you are out of Gas, Make Zergling or Worms for compensation.
Use these Mineral dumps as shields and extra fire power until you fill your population with superior gas units.
After you fill in the 200 Population you are free to kill warden, drones or even Primal Hives to make some room!

That cuts into heavy gas unit production though which defeats the purpose, the idea of mineral dumps is literally that they die so who cares if they aren’t very good? They still provide some use that you wouldn’t have floating the minerals.
