No one intelligent usually.
He didn’t say exactly that. I think his point was that ambition can mean more than IQ. In many circumstances, I would have to agree.

Well he’s wrong, I know plenty of ambitious dumb people who can’t get past the first chapter of the textbook, just like I know plenty of ambitious smart people who can’t run a single lap around the track.
I’m only telling you as someone who went to chemistry graduate school, taught university chemistry, and went to medical school.
I’ve made my own conclusions and you can too.
You must be Bacon’s lawyer to support his statement that intelligence isn’t important (and may not even exist).
Objection.
The whole premise is incorrect.
IQ has only a weak correlation to sport skills. SC2 is a type of sport and being naturally fast is much more important than being naturally intelligent.
If we took 100 theoretical physicists and 100 professional football players and taught them SC2 my money would be on the fotboll players becoming the most skilled.
IQ is not accurate in determining anything in life. To think so is very limited thinking. You can believe what you want, but there are things humans cannot measure and intelligence is one of them. You can do your best, but it is far from accurate. I’ve taken an IQ test and scored a 120, but guess what? I’m still stuck in diamond, I’m not rich, got C’s in my classes in college. IQ means nothing, effort and attitude are what get you places, not some numbers you get on a test no one cares about.
SC 2 is more about multitasking than logic sadly , you will learn eventually most strategies by playing and being fast.
The real high iq move would be to not waste time on a videogame
But with starcraft…just like martial arts, chess or any sport…your basic mechanical ability must be on par before the real intelligence makes a difference.
It is easier to explain in MMA terms. If your fitness level is not top notch all fighting strategy is just a waist of time.
In Starcraft it would be if your mechanical skill is not there and you can’t keep up basic worker and supply depot/overlord/pylon production then you can have genius strategies which will land flat on its face.
Only after all other things is (relatively) equal would real strategy(or intelligence) come in to play.
Yea your namesake is much more important.
you are a failure then who probably blames genetics for having an unsuccesful life
If you want to see an improvement of a smart people in starcraft sure, but to find a person that could beat a professional player you kind of is insulting SC2 professional players because to be a professional you gotta be not only be smart yourself but you have to give it dedication.
I have watched a guy on YouTube that tried to “master chess in 30 days”, it was interesting to see the evolution that was small (kind of cringy too), with starcraft should be even harder because it’s not a game of only strategy like chess. I’ld like a serie that takes pros from other games and see his evolution in Sc2 and compare it to average people.
ill send u my replay pack when i hit m3
i hit d3 in 2 months my goal is m3 by 5 months
ill even give u replays from this secret smurf account
my first ever game in silver was this 2 hour thriller where i whooped a terran with mass brood lord and creep and spines and spores on their base
if u want to go pro at zerg or protoss you cannot be stupid
name one pro Z or P that couldnt run a top 500 company
the iq rule really applies to these races
nova: " iq means nothing" 2019
IQ measures intelligence and IQ testing is backed by 100 years of study; but of course, Bacon knows better right? All those psych PHDs studying IQ are just idiots.
Basic mechanical ability in Chess? People play Chess blindfolded with no board or pieces, meaning they don’t even physically do anything. Regarding SC2, as I said above, IQ is only a component, you require other qualities (like mechanical ability, aggressiveness, etc.) to succeed in SC2, but you cannot be successful in SC2 with a 60 IQ.
Guess you missed the part where I said I’m high IQ and successful, and made Masters within six months of picking up the game; you jealous of these genes bro?
