"Curiosity Killed the Zergling" achievement more difficult on lower difficulties

Hello,

The “Curiosity Killed the Zerling” 10th anniversary achievement seems to be actually harder to do on lower difficulties simply because of the lack of Zerg units to kill with mines. This seems unintended. Perhaps the achievement should have lower kill count requirements for the lower difficulties?

It is doable on Normal. I think it’s more a matter of players devising strategies for it.

It is, but it’s easier on brutal simply because there are more Zerg to kill. That seems backwards.

It does seem a bit backwards. The difference I see however is the amount of work needed to not fail the overall mission. With less to worry about on Normal, the more attention can be put into strategizing for the achievement. Invariably players discover some way of trivalizing achievements. Once one is found for this achievement, it may not be more difficult on the lower difficulties.

Gotta think outside the box on this. Save 400 Minerals. Build a second CC right next to your allies CC, Destroy both of their gasses, and take both their gasses. You will have TONS of reapears and mines. Put mines spaced out EVERYWHERE in the base. At the end, let them break in and trigger all the mines. Piece of cake!!!

I think in this case the issue might be that you need to use more mines on normal compared to brutal. So probably take both Horner’s gases and place mines on the cliffs in addition to the paths. I did that on normal to get the kills, on brutal I didn’t have to do that and stole only 1 gas

any kill X achievements are easier on Brutal, same with the one that asks you to kill 50 things with 1 nuke.

FranticRock, this was the last achievement I did not finish before I post this message, so I had to look for clues on the internet. Couldn’t find much, except this hint of yours. Thanks so much! Once I get the gases from Horner, it was EZPZ.

Last achievement. Lets be honest, blizzard sucks when it comes to achievements. Creative director must be a mouthbreather for coming up such ridiculous piece of garbage.

I got this on Brutal. I couldn’t do it on Normal even with all the tricks. On Brutal I got this 5 seconds before mission end while clearing the last wave. Gas trick is needed and it’s very close.
