Yes, I’m aware there are probably arcade maps that already let you do this, but what if there was a coop testing map, a little bit like heroes of the storm’s “try out” zone. You can spawn in attack waves, give yourself infinite SoA energy, remove cooldowns, etc.
Basically, you use this to figure out what your commander and each of its units does quickly. This is great if you unlocked a new upgrade or unit and want to know what it really does and if it’s useful (COUGH COUGH battlecarrier lords). This could also be used to test out/create build orders without having to reload the game each time.

Well see, people have attempted similar mods and arcades before but all of them fall under the same issue; no future upgrades and lack of compare after a while. If someone had the time necessary to invest in patching and updating details for said testing ground, they might as well apply for a job in Blizzard tbh.
Granted we have games/mods like Direct Strike and a lot more that I’m sure I’m missing. Shining as well but that like most others on said list is extremely unbalanced. I know some editors and creators that make their own zones for testing but it never gets anywhere.
Personally when I feel like working on new strats ESPECIALLY making my custom macros over Synapse, I simply create a 2-man game or mutator with one of my alts and walla, testing ground. In a way, lol.
You could try loading a replay of your game. And just read over what it does, I found it helpful when I was learning to play.
The bad part about it is sometimes you don’t get to see their interaction exactly maybe as you want but for the most part it covers 90% of the necessary mechanic.
Or you can always ask someone to go into a stretchable game like LL, CoA, DoN and test a few things. Nothing a few words can’t help solve
