COOP Attack Waves

Anyone notice that the attack waves have become more erratic? The attack wave on Scythe, Vermillion, and Lock and Load were constant. Meaning waves of small attacks constantly spawned and never stopped.

On Lock and Load, certain conditions will mess with the enemy AI.

Two I know about and have seen are 1) the use of Vora’s time stop, and 2) if you attack the main bases and do only minor damage (without totally clearing them).

Both seem to trip up the AI/triggers causing a constant trickle of units who constantly try to recapture the locks.

I haven’t noticed anything with the two other maps.

It’s possible you’re seeing a staggering of zerg compositions related waves?

Due to speed difference in the units in some zerg enemies compositions, their movement between set location can make appear to arrive at different times. This delay can seem like several smaller waves.

On Vermillion if you didn’t clear Crystal defenders before Lava rised they will come at your base after it without any notice on the map. This might be it. Not sure, maybe it works only for Crystals that are spawned on lowground.

I actually like erratic waves. More challenging.
