It’s the whine terrans that kill the game. Even when they are winning all the tournaments. Even when all the GSL’s are tvt finals, again, not the super tournaments those don’t count. Terrans whine even when they are winning.

While the title is not really fair, the barcode is finally bringing up actual potential problems (probably by seeing what Lune posted the other day).
A hatchery is 300 mineral though, that means losing anymore than one void means the attack won’t worth as much.
What’s the problem with the second video? Mutas can do the similar harassment.
Zerg los 1000’s in mining. And dozen of units in production. Losing hatch is game over…
At 10min mark? I am not so sure. But if you lose the hive instead, that would be a huge problem.

A base yields roughly 800 minerals/minute. A hatch takes 71 seconds. It takes about 10 seconds for a new drone to arrive. That’s roughly 900 minerals lost not considering the travel time and 1,080 considering travel time. In addition to that the zerg loses 1 drone (-50 minerals) and the lost mining time from him (-40 minerals) and the cost of the hatchery (-300).
The total cost in minerals is 1,470. That’s not including lost mining time of drones that would have been made with those 1,470 minerals.
The zerg also re-rolls all the associated risks (hatchery dies before completion, drone dies before building hatchery, not having enough larva to make enough defenses, etc). You also miss out on creep spread.
In other words losing your third like this is a completely unrecoverable position for a zerg. Protoss and Terran lose minerals only. Terrans don’t lose lost mining time because mules can stack. Zerg alone loses production capacity when losing a base.
Being able to snipe hatcheries completely breaks the matchup.
Against turtle-skytoss, shouldn’t you get you third in the first 2min or so? I thought that’s the standard.
The protoss lost half his probes to 1 base ling bane opener. He was on 12 vs the zerg’s 24. This is what an advantaged position looks like for the zerg. 99% of the time the zerg will be much further behind than this.
Well, that’s a rather niche scenario then (like go corruptor and snipe his nexus too, it’d be an interesting game). Any game with hatchery snipe being a problem in a standard game?
It’s a rather niche scenario that proves even when zerg is massively ahead he can’t establish bases vs the new void ray.

I am still more concerned with hive snipes in the pro-games, but it actually doesn’t happen as often, I wonder why?
The only base Z can’t take easily against voids is the 4th and only if there is no creep or the map is tricky (voids attacking the fourth, and fly past the cliff to attacking the main), but totally can get a third base and defend it, on the videos the queens are totally out of position, and don’t say Z can’t know where the voids are because good players know it and prepare for it, sniping hatcheries like that is something it shouldn’t happen with a proper gamesense and mechanics,really, the queens at the middle can’t do anything, at least put them in one place and it will be 100% safe,two times the queens were out position,send lings or something at least to know the location of the voids so you can anticipate with your queens, you can’t put your queens in the middle and expect getting in time to defend against that amount of voids.
