Computer crashes when using Ghost on Mac

90% of the time when I use a Ghost my computer crashes and hard restarts. I’m on a Macbook Pro with Catalina 10.15.12. Sometimes it crashes as soon as I select the Ghost, othertimes it’s while he’s using a spell.

I’ve tried the suggestion by Blizzard Support for this same issue on EU forum: When selecting Ghost unit system crashes - StarCraft II Technical Support - SC2 Forums

Which didn’t work. I’ve also done everything in the Mac crashing troubleshooting page (updated OS/drivers, ran problem scan (no errors), checked permissions.) I also changed the computer name which was suggested for Mac crashing in a different page.

Games where I don’t use the Ghost seem fine.

If anyone else with the problem comes across this thread via Google etc: Blizzard support suggests switching from Metal to OpenGL in your Graphics settings. This isn’t an ideal fix since it lowers performance of the game, so you may have to lower your graphics settings to reduce lag, but it does work.
