Hi there,
So it’s been some time since I last played (probably over a year), and I noticed when I logged on that a lot of my commanders prestiges have been either fully reset back to None, or have been reduced to earlier tiers. Does anyone happen to know what has caused this? I had all commander prestiges unlocked except for Mengsk.
I spent quite a long time earning each Prestige, so this is really frustrating.

Is someone from the Blizzard team ever going to respond to this for a fix? I bought the game years back for the Campaign and Co-op modes, and I spent a lot of time maxing out the commanders, only to come back and many of the have been rolled back as if I’ve never played them when they were all maxed except for the newest.
I know new content and whatnot was retired some time ago, but this is a bug, so a fix would be nice.

As part of the end of development, there isn’t a technical support team for SC2 any longer. The forums are essentially now just player to player help.
So what you’re saying is essentially I’m screwed? I’ve seen a ton of posts from players with the “commanders stuck at level 5”, including paid for ones, but maybe only 1 or 2 posts regarding my issue. I’ve tried deleting the battlenet and blizzard folders in %ProgramData% as some others have suggested to resolve the problem, but didnt work. I’ve also tried changing my account password as per a blue post, but still nothing. I even uninstalled and reinstall the game fresh, and that did nothing, so clearly the issue is server side.
I’ve found no solution on the forum or anywhere else…
The capped commander issuse is a confirmed server problem that isn’t related to anyone’s account. So Bliz is able to fix it with adjustments to the servers.
Outside of what you have already tried, the only suggestion I can offer is to make sure 1) you are logging into the correct Battlenet account (people often forget they have more than one especially after years of not playing), and if it is the correct account, 2) make sure you are logging into the correct region.
I have only 1 Battlenet account and have quadruple checked that I’m logging into the correct region (Americas).
So, basically there is no fix. Fantastic…
Yeah. Unfortunately, retired games tend to degrade with time from lack of upkeep. SC2 is almost 4 years into retirement.
Bummer for sure, but it’s the fate of all video games eventually.
Slightly different issue for me, but it was my campaign achievements that didn’t work. Not sure if it’s related but I found a workaround. If I start the game in Europe and then Logout and back in to US, my achievements come back. Unfortunately I have to do this every time I play. It’s worth a try to see if the same helps with stuck commander levels.
