Co-Op Mutation #477: Slow and Steady

Amon’s forces are determined to claim Bel’Shir’s terrazine for themselves. They will stop at nothing to prevent you from reaching Stetmann’s harvesters in time to save them. Move fast as you can to catch up to your enemies and end their assault.

Concussive Attacks - Player units are slowed by all enemy attacks.
Speed Freaks - Enemy units have double their normal movement speed.
Time Warp - Enemy Time Warps are periodically deployed throughout the map.

Notes:

  • Speed Freaks decreases your reaction time to enemy waves hitting the bots, so pre-splitting forces or camping the spawn locations is advisable.
  • Melee units will be able to get a surround on your units more quickly.
  • A big red circle appears on the ground where time warp will spawn.
  • Concussive attacks affect static defense and even production structures.
  • But other than that, this one should really be stupidly easy.

This mutation is too moderate, try to outsmart time warps and concussive attacks and heroic and expendable units are recommended. Recommended commanders:

  • Swann P1
  • Zagara P1
  • Tychus P2
  • Nova P3
  • Raynor P3
  • Stukov P3
  • Alarak P3
  • HH P1
  • Zeratul P2
  • Stetmann P1

It’s easy to not pay attention and before you know it, a bot is taken down. You either need to stay on bots like a hawk, or have a way to teleport to them. Being halfway across the map won’t cut it.

One reason why having towers helps alleviate some of that.

Zagara P3 was nice since she can deep tunnels to intercept or meet up with waves ASAP. Making Hatcheries to slow them down also provides a buffer! In fact, I’d recommend doing this with many COs. Even for Karax P2, some Pylons in the way to buy you some time.
