Co-Op Mutation #384: Getting Along

Enemies are immune to all attacks of one commander, but not both. Terry says that’s unscientific. What is scientific is that the catastrophe has created a shortage that forces the commanders to share what limited supply they have.

Polarity - Each enemy unit is immune to either your units or your ally’s units.
Sharing is Caring - Supply is shared between you and your partner, and units from both armies contribute to your combined supply cap.

Notes:

  • [The actual supply of both commanders are added. However, the supply limit is still individual for each commander.] This means each player keeps the original supply cap, but must now accommodate both their supply and their ally’s.
  • Commanders with 100 supply cap retain the 100 supply cap. They will NOT be able to produce any supply-consuming units if their ally goes above 100 supply, for as long as the ally is over 100 supply.
  • Commanders with instant max supply perks like Artanis and Dehaka retain their perks.
  • Half of every single attack wave and every base is immune to you or your ally. This means you cannot split between separate attack waves; both need to attack the same location simultaneously.
  • Enemies with the red shield are immune to your attacks. Another way to figure out which units are yours before engaging is to mouse over the enemy unit:
  • [Yellow circle] is ally’s target
  • [Red circle] is your target
  • Immobilization Wave, Time Stop, and other movement/attack restricting spells still work on enemy units immune to you, but they deal 0 damage.
  • You can manually target the enemy units immune to you, but it will do 0 damage.

1st clear Zeratul P3+Artanis P3

Mutation (Getting Along) play list

Polarity is the worst mutation ever, even worse than sharing is caring. Anyway, here are the recommended commanders for this mutation:

  • Raynor P0
  • Swann P1
  • Kerrigan P2
  • Artanis P3
  • Karax P3
  • HH P1

 Swann P1  or  Artanis P0  should be the best (easiest) choices for this mutation.
Drill does a lot of work once fully upgraded, and Artanis can easily stick close to your ally clearing units with his polarity. :kissing_closed_eyes: :alien:

Just did it on hard to lvl artanis and it was okay. Required some communication for sure tho, so it was good that my co-op ally… co-operated

edit: And now also on brutal. Thought I’d do cannon zeratul so my ally can go ham on supply, turned out to be a Tychus xD made things quite simple

I’d say it’s Artanis+Dehaka, because both play as normal here, not even noticing Sharing is Caring until 200 supply cap is reached.

As for Swann, he goes fine with anyone for same reason why Karax and Zeratul would: he can clear the map with buildings and topbar alone, completely ignoring his army, therefore allowing his ally to build whatever. P1 Swann also has the benefit of being everywhere where ally is, at all times.

Deja vu? I feel like I’ve played this before b/c I remember picking Karax, with Artanis. Karax is nice b/c you can just zap enemies with your omni present SoA lasers. However, I ended up running low on energy, so had to supplement them with cannons, and later on, units.

This was before the prestige system, so P3 Karax should be all the better!

Power overwhelming, black death, and props would give polarity a run its money in terms of awful mutators.

Anyways, P0 Raynor on the EU server and P3 Mengsk on the NA server. I had Artanis allies for both, but they were below level. 15 so couldn’t take advantage of his 200 supply thing.

A recent tier list for this week’s Mutation by CtG and crew! Recently uploaded too! …

… Also, courage to them for suggesting pausing the game to type in chat to coordinate

.

Tried both Swann and Karax, and they’re definitely tops! Specifically…
Swann P1 + Zeratul P3. Ally pretty much went mostly hero and Legions for assault, with some projected towers (both Cannons and Monos). Cannons and Monos were primarily defense. I made towers, and supplemented them with units. In fact, he went pure hero, leaving me the full supply for units!

Karax P3 + Swann P1 - I made cannons + SoA for defense, while he used units and laser for def as well. For push, he did the same thing. I made units, and used SoA.

well…that was painful, I was Zagara P3 and ally was a random P1 Stukov, I was trying to mass Aberrations/banelings with Zagara against a Terran ground mech army, ally went above 100 supply, so I only had like 5 Aberrations and 10 banelings with Zagara, we almost got overrun, but he lost some diamondbacks, and I was able to make some more Aberrations and I cleaned up “my” attack wave, because Zagara died, before she could clean them up. He notified me where he was going, so I just followed his lead, and we eventually completed the mission.
