Amon will stop at nothing to destroy you. Even in death, his minions strike back at you with a final, devastating gambit. Keep your distance as you dispatch your foes, or you might join them in defeat.
Aggressive Deployment - Additional enemy units are periodically deployed onto the battlefield.
Alien Incubation - All enemy units spawn Broodlings upon death.
Self Destruction - Enemy units explode and deal damage to friendly player units upon death.
Starting at 4:55, Aggressive Deployment sends a full wave of enemies every 130 seconds on Brutal.
Aggressive Deployment drops enemies near your units. If you have no units, it will drop in your base. So definitely always have your army on the map to protect your workers.
No biomass nor essence from aggressive deployment units.
The number of broodlings depends on the supply count of the enemy slain.
Units that get killed leave a small red circle where self-destruction explodes after two seconds.
Broodlings also self-destruct.
Some area damage spells like Kerrigan’s Psionic Shift, Karax’s Solar Lance, and Swann’s Pulse Cannon kill Broodlings as well, preventing them from self-destructing near your units.
It is also important to know that those “Units” should have supplies.
Heroes like Zeratul, Tychus, Dehaka etc have no supplies so enemy reinforcements will drop into the base.
So please make sure to make a unit (even 1 supply is fine) to make them drop to your army’s location.
Also apparently Amon won’t send army drop to burrowed units but he will to cloaked units.
They can damage building , i played karax P3 and about half of my defense structure got destroy at the final wave, since tons of zergling rush to my building and when i solar lance them , they exploded TWICE (another is from broodling) zergling literally became banglings
Based on that, do you think the enemy do the drop in the base because they are targeting the base by default, or because the highest concentration of supply end up being the workers there?
Though I doubt moving the workers because you’re guessing the deployment will come soon would work
Beat it with my Lv. 13 P3 Alarak and have Stukov P3 on ally. Also got the bonus too. I got the Terran as enemy ai so luck was on our side.
I wasn’t sure if the Self Destruct can damage the air units until my Destroyer took some hit. Probably not a good idea to go air units on this one.
My ally Stukov really shine on this mutation. His free units saved us. He even managed to break through the enemy bases and got to the Shuttle Spawn point.
Encountered the same on 1st try, only can hold on till to 2nd lings wave. Quit game and close computer after that. Not sure why always encounter lings enemy comp when play mutation.
I had a lot of trouble with this week’s Brutation… barely beat it as zeratul P3 with karax P1. Took me multiple tries, but it certainly did not help that I kept getting zerg comps. Had a level 1 raynor on my first attempt, (while also learning that Aggressive Deployment ignores Tychus heroes)
I had a really salty teamate on the second, and the next two tries, had a strange teamate who was good at the game but kept calling me **** and asked if I had suicidal thoughts. At least we won after rolling a toss comp. Managed to save 2 out of the 3 shuttles.
Strange week for me… hope you all have a much better time with this than I did lol…
does aggressive deployment really ignore tychus and the outlaws? maybe they did at the start when I had 2, but then nothing ever dropped near my base after that
tychus p1 and stukov p3 made short work of this mutation, it was pretty easy after we both hit our power spike (especially important for stukov).
