Co-Op Mutation #199: Knock Knock

I did the bonus with him. And I could have done it with HH too but that ally wasn’t taking care of his base and I had to do double work.

If you love props, you’re gonna love the Aggressive Recruitment mutation (Propagator + Speed Freaks + We Move Unseen) in a couple of months.

Meh props are defenseless against splitters

Maybe. Depends on the map. Have beat prop + speed on past brutations.
I hate other combinations more like void shards or something plus eternal spawning.

Eh, I can understand his frustration, the Propagators ARE unfair to be honest.

Beat it with Karax (me) and Dehaka (ally).

My ally focusing on clearing the buildings while I am focusing killing propagator from multiple directions. We also completed the side-objective too.

Don’t they eat up the buildings funneling them? I’m just imagining some kind of tower defense like mini-maze on each entrance

Took three tries but with me as Dehaka with a Vorazun ally, we managed to make it. Impalers to focus the props, black hole/time for “Oh crap” moments, and mutas/void rays to snipe buildings.

Maybe for this week’s Dead of Night mutation, but the mutation I was referring to (Aggressive Recruitment) will take place on Malwarfare. You won’t have time to build splitters while chasing Aurana around. And you’ll need constant Mengsk detectors because all the propagators will be invisible.

Nope, due to how their AI works, they are drawn to whatever is attacking them. The supply depots didn’t help that much with the props tbh. My tanks just blew them to smithereens the moment they came in vision, but I guess it’s a nice precaution.

This used to work in Sc1… terrans wall off their choke point with Supply Depots, put a bunker with marines behind. AI isn’t bright enough to go after the depots, so Zealots just run around like headless chickens.

Hmmm… I’m guessing that being attacked draws enemies to the attacker, ignoring all else, but it also works by proxy, right? If an ally is being attacked, they also ignore everything else.

Do propagators propagate by being close to something, or do they have to consciously “attack” something? As in… kiting them with ranged units but some Observer is just there and the propagator passes by under it.

They propagate with their attacks. It’s why Disabling Cloud and Disruption Web stop props from spreading, because these abilities prevent props from attacking.
