Your enemies have deployed their long range beams to eliminate the harvesting bots. The ground-based laser drill shoots single targets continuously, while the orbiting purifier beams angle carefully to avoid friendly fire. You must be equally laser-focused to help Stetmann complete his terrazine harvesting.

Concussive Attacks - Player units are slowed by all enemy attacks.
Laser Drill - An enemy Laser Drill constantly attacks player units within enemy vision.
Purifier Beam - An enemy Purifier Beam moves across the map toward nearby player units.

- The Purifier Beam is permanent for Amon, and spawns at the start of the map. It slowly chases your units, and also [your static defense]
- A new Purifier Beam spawns on Brutal at 10:30 and after every 10 minutes.

Kerrigan: use Omega Nydus to attract laser drill and beam, though the drill is annoying in early game.
Swann: Since his repair cost no resource, donate one structure to be targeted by drill then repair it. The beams can be lured by floating factories patrol in a circle.
Abathur: slowed brutalisk’s deep tunnel cooldown is not slowed. Don’t place early toxic nest too close to enemy.
Tychus: Nikara out-heal the drill, but the slow is very annoying.
Zeratul: mass cannon project. Drill will not target Zeratul if they do not detect him.
Stetmann: slowed units still move fast within blue stetzone. Mass infestors will ignore the other mutators. If your infestors are caught by beam, it is your own fault.
I think Kerrigan, Zeratul and Stetmann may be the easiest choice.

Yep kerri + zag combo is pretty good. I went up to 15 worms and just massed lings alongside. I started throwing in hydras at the end when I was banking resources.

This brutation feels like a breeze after 2 weeks of Aids of the Dark

Only annoyance is the drill is tucked in like a tick in the main enemy base. No early cheese to take it down

A rather easy mutation. Slow is slightly annoying, but not as much as the darkness was.
Did it with Tychus, who doesnt care too much about the slow effect or beam due to his helipads. I got Nikara as 4th Outlaw, since I didnt want to use helipads for heal but mobility only. I’m not her biggest fan, but she outheals Beam and Laser nicely. Actually couldnt name a significant difference to a regular brutal game of Misssed Opportunity. At least speaking for Tychus.

This one was easy once I used Artanis. Guardian shell is OP as always.
I also can not believe anyone could have any issues with darkness from previous two mutations. Let me guess, you didn’t play Abathur? He makes having vision irrelevant because of his toxic nests and Brutalisks who can teleport anywhere on the map without you having any vision.

I noticed that Purifier Beams don’t seem to give the drill vision, which means you can use the parking strat.
Just have an overlord or another flying unit lead a beam to an unused area and set a patrol pattern around it.
On this map I usually clear the first bonus relatively fast and then park the first 1-2 beams there
Kerri & random Zera, nice n easy, Amon’s poor Terrans got crushed. Kerri mvp

If you see creep, you’ll need to build detectors to take out enemy Creep Tumors, as they provide vision for the Mutator’s Laser Drill, and will damage the Harvester Drones.
If possible, lure the laser drill away from where the action will be. On this mission, the sequence is always the same.
Being able to Burrow the Zerg heroes if they’re being targeted by the drill is quite nice.
The only problem is the drill located at enemy’s base which you cannot kill it early
Lol so easy this week. Omega wormsssss

QFT. I played Kerrigan with Zagara.
I don’t suck with Kerri, but no guru either.
My ally was great though (kept up on everything).
It was intense, but managed to win. Didn’t even notice when the last wave returned and the mission ended. I was far too “in the zone”
My ally did just that vs. a Wraith after I created an Omega there. Wraith just moved on to that instead.
Kerrigan completely trivialized this week’s mutation.
What is slow when your armies are traveling using high-speed omega worm?
What is the purifier beam when you can summon unlimited Omega Worm to distract them away?

I thought this week Muta counter Tychus. Didn’t expect him to still be viable.
Kerrigan + Stukov or Kerrigan + Abathur are the best combos because #NydusWorms’LifeMatter and those two can heal them.
Really easy with Kerrigan this week.

Why does the Drill never stop targeting the bots even after you killed all sources of vision around it?
