The enemy has developed a new type of armor. It is calibrated to absorb the energies of one commander’s attacks, and render the user invulnerable to that army. It also includes a single-use emergency recharge device that restores the armor to full health. Coordinate with your ally to cover each other’s weakness and destroy the Void Slivers.
Map: Scythe of Amon
Just Die! - Enemy units are automatically revived upon death.
Polarity - Each enemy unit is immune to either your units or your ally’s units.

Video Replays on Brutal difficulty:
Notes:
- Half of every single attack wave and every base is immune to your or your ally. This means you cannot split between separate attack waves; both need to attack the same location simultaneously.
- A great way to figure out which units are yours before engaging is to mouse over the enemy unit:
- Yellow circle means ally should kill it

- Red circle means you should kill it.

- Just Die! revives enemies after their death animation. They respawn with full health.
- Just Die! reverses the polarity. A unit killed by player 1 will revive and must now be killed by player 2.
- Death Grip Crystals are units, and therefore revive and change polarity.
- Immobilization Wave, Time Stop, and other movement/attack restricting spells still work on enemy units immune to you, but they deal 0 damage.
- You can manually target the enemy units immune to you, but it will do 0 damage.
- Mind control works on units immune to you.

So question…If you kill a unit and it respawns, does the polarity shift, stay the same, or chance on either?

The odd way of losing only happens in forced team plays =)
That or grab your alt(s), dual client, solo.
Tho granted if you are running clannies through or friends/randos you will need a different solution.
Lol got it done but took a few tries mainly cause my allies lacked staying power. Was using Tychus couldn’t kill last shard because rifts around it kept healing and I couldn’t kill those cause they were my ally targets and he kept getting wiped by the crystals (also his lol). So in the end switched to cannon Zera which gave my ally plenty of time to get to location
wtf man, you guys just roflstomped that

Ever notice the latest brutations consists of very few variations of mutators?
Obligatory comment about mutation bounties still does nothing for the gameplay itself.
Ugh, these mutations on scythe of amon are going to be rough since the later portions of the game usually have one person defending while the other attacks.
I think Vorazun is gonna be the Commander of the Week here. Time Stop is super powerful on this map already, and with these mutations, just gunning down the last two void shards might be the smart way to play it.
To be fair a lot of Commanders have their uses. Hell a cannon Zeratul might not be able to solo it because of polarity, but he can halt entire waves until his ally catches up. Not to mention other variations. Artanis doesn’t have to bat an eye whilst waiting for his solar bombardment to come off cooldown. Hand in hand, it seems like another Vorazun/Artanis pair up week.
I also was thinking Artanis would be good here since Solar Bombardment is an instant win on the last objective, but Time Stop for Vorazun has a much shorter CD and is generally more versatile.
The Mutation only affects damage, it doesn’t affect CC, so both Black Hole and Time Stop are unaffected by the polarity. Agreed that an Artanis/Vorazun combo would be a strong pick for this mutation.

spirit, you could have fared better if you had your civilian compound move with your army and infest it agressively. Also, without healing, I doubt you could have pulled it out with diamindbacks as they are paper cannons.
Zeratul cannons and 10 apm very good for this week.
But seriously, just use Zeratul cannons.
Beat it on the 3rd attempt as Tychus with a very good Stetmann as partner.
Other than the mutators, it was played largely as normal. Stetmann went with mass Infestors while I used the typical combo of outlaws. Bonuses were ignored.
Just requires plenty of staying power to win this, particularly early on, and good situational awareness as Polarity demands. Hero units would be very good here.
Just played a normal Brutal mission and also did everything together with ally, it kinda made it even easier than it usually is xD
Every commander who reduce enemy armor is good. I do it with Zagara at fourth attemp. Zerglings can´t damage polarity slivers but reduce their armor making ally kill it faster. Frenzy also enhance dps. For me Zagara and Tychus Tier 1. Always kill death grip first.
My order to go without bonus:
- First wave
- Expansion sliver
- Wave minute 7
- Wave min 9
- Sliver 5 o´clock
- Wave min 12
- Sliver 12 o´clock
- Wave min 16
- Wave min 19
- Sliver 8 o´clock
- Sliver 10 0´clock
- Avoid wave min 22

Do the shards themselves have polarity? Cause if not, boy do I have a great idea.
