Carrier Rush works in Plat 1

I tried some multiple games [4], in PvZ, I just rush Carriers.
Turtle in 2 base, get carriers as soon as I can, after 2 Carriers, harass. You probably won’t snipe the Lair or any building, but it makes the Zerg anxious and focusing to counter your carriers.

I had a game where after the initial Carriers, I just stop making carriers and went to Storm, and there was like 12 corruptors waiting for me.

TL;DR
Could Carrier Rush be a thing in PvZ?

Bruh your mistake you cant made void ray after harass 2 carriers

Oh, Now I see why I sometimes want to leave a forum post just because of your post. You don’t even read anything, just damn replying without knowing any of the context.

You say weird thing carrier rush cant exist

LOL, sure it is. It is possible even into Top 50 GM. The secret is to scare Zerg after 2 Carriers to go mass Corruptor and to flood the Zerg immediately afterwards with Chargelotts.
Half of the times the poor Zerg will be chasing Chargelots with…Corruptors.
Secret of the success of this strategy is a solid Satic-Defense and to be prepared with Archon/Templars…

Carrier rush is not a thing in higher leagues. Skytoss is most vulnerable going from 3 bases to floor. Many zergs just all in you with mass Hydra or even mass roach/ling of you just try and get carriers in a turtle fashion. I’ve even had games where they just suicide a bunch of corruptor’s simply because they can replace them much faster than you can replace carriers. You simply can’t make enough of them on 3 bases and they also need upgrades to really be awesome.

In higher leagues people who go skytoss have a bridging phase between 3 bases and 4 bases of either mass phoenix harassment or the use of some chargelots and dts with a few void rays (void Ray’s kill the overseers and dts and zealots handle whatever ground units are attacking. Many times zergs just run away which is good because you’re just trying to buy time). Basically you can’t really pump out carriers on 3 bases and you need to figure out a way to both defend 3 base all ins from the Zerg and a way to keep the Zerg busy.

Theorycrafting is very valuable until…somebody see the Cobra games when with this strategy are crushed Master/GM zergs and multiple-times…Snute no less.
Deeds are worth 1000 words.
Goba TM.

I did that last week, was trying to start with double stargate wih a couple of safety voids then skytoss, but zerg saw my stargates and voids and just rushed 15-16 corruptors, he spent all his gas on that, so I 8gated him with chargelots, managed to morph 8 blords but he was already dead.

oracle+phoenix is probably the best opening for skytoss, and stargate can pump out some safety void if zerg wants to counterattack with roaches.

Precisely. The idea is to force him to go crazy with Corruptors. If not, 2 Carriers with focus-fire and terren-abuse can kill bases with spores and 2-3 Queens.
He will be forced to respond. A highly intelligent zerg will not panic and will build a limited number of Corruptor, the rest will go ham on corruptor, you will Recall the Carriers and in 80% of cases Zerg will die.
This is more a false Carrier Rush, latter you expand and relly mass Carrioers (12-16).
It works up to Top 50 GM in EU.

And the economy is not very good if you don’t have enough bases, carriers are really expensive, I remember some Reynor clip winning against a carrier rusher,he won with pure queen against low carrier count and few upgrades. Carriers work when you have your bases, you have a lot of gas, and can upgrade and make at least three of them at the same time without ruining your bank because you also need HT and chargelots for harass and defense.

What you say and SunBurn holds true if the general trades of PvZ are 1:1. I am speaking about a player that trades at 1:2 and 1:3. His 3-4 Protoss bases are equivalent with 6-12 Zerg/Terran bases.
Fun fact: in half of his games that he loses he still treads at 1:1.1 to 1: 1.5.

no, it cant be a thing, because most of high diamond zergs already know about 50 drones hydra-queen all-in and you will almost always lose to it, because a) you will not have storm b) you will have storm but not enough carriers to finish the job, after mana ends.

Lol storm never be solution 4 carrier zealots 3 dizruptors this will can heat queen hydra march

?
Here is not a High-Diamond but a Top 170 GM EU Zerg.
He tried Hydra, even better, a dual Hydra Roach two-pronged attack and all Zerg shenigans Infeastor/Viper included.

He lost (with gg).

Resource lost
Zerg 28700
Cobra 7600
Trade Ratio 1: 3.7

I honestly don’t really know how to play that opener. I feel like its pretty passive and oracles just annoy the zerg without really getting anything done. I’d love someone to give a basic explanation of how to play oracle phoenix vs zerg because it seems like a super safe and solid opener that I just can’t seem to get working.

Just because it can work doesn’t mean it will work. It depends on far to many variables to make work consistently IMO.

It almost worked last year against the Blizzcon finalist

Keep in mind that this was when Infested Terrans existed. And skill gap was between that of a Blizzcon finalist and that of a random chinese GM.

Imagine what would have happened if there was no skill gap, let alone if the IT didn’t exist

Stats won against Solar by rushing into carriers this week. Solar just made infinity roaches like he does all the time in ZvP and got splattered.

you can make anything work in platinum

I don’t know what is with people that refuse to deny the obvious. We are not theorycrafting here. You and me submitted the videos where such strategies worked. In my case that video has 30 games where 10 are PvZ and with slight modifications is the same tactic. Fake Carrier Rush in full Carrier/Mothership/Templars. More consistent than that? Unles with consistence one thinks 100% win-rate.
Sorry, not even Stats/Zest has 100% winrate in PvZ (no one has). It’s 50% in this case.
But this strat is not for the Plat/Diamond noob. There is much working in Static Defense that makes possible such strategy. Unfortunately even half of EU/NA pro-Protoss players do not build sufficient proper SD and trade 1:1 with Zerg and get destroyed.
P.S In time of IT Cobra used to make short-work of 10-20 Infestors at a time with 6-8 Disruptors.
