So I tried playing both Starcraft on US server. It does not open. I get an error message. Not taking no for answer as any blizzard player does. I tried logging on to EU and then switching to the US. The authentication failed. I can authenticate on every other type of blizzard game. So it’s not that. It’s been freshly installed. So that’s not it. I already bought it so that’s not it. I just simply can’t play this game.
In short… if I play offline it basically gives me none of my campaigns. Making it effectually a game you can’t play unless online. I am able to play offline if I turn off my wifi, but as it is, I can’t play the game on my account.
I saw this was a problem back in november. But now it’s January and it seems the same problem is still here. The US servers still down? Did anyone find a work around?
The ones I already know: Switch to EU then back to US (tried that)
I even tried making an EU name and I have none of my achievements or anything… again making it useless.
I tried playing offline.
I tried reinstalling.
I know I can get on any other blizzard game so it’s not battle net.
in summary:
I just want to play the game I bought without nonsense. I don’t need to play online I only need the campaign. But it’s really not letting me do that right now.

the US server are not down, and never have been, yes this has happened before but the previous times it was fixed. again the servers were never down just certain users were not able to log in for some reason.
ok so there are a few fixs to try right now since there is so many post about this im losing track which ones have the fixs, so ill will give yu a quick rundown on them, but double check the other post for all the steps others have posted for fixing.
-
make sure all yur internet permission are enable for sc2. firewall permission seem to have unchecked sc2 for alot of people, even some with the firewalls down all together. double check all this make sure there all checked even if you dont use the firewals

brute forcing the login, just keep logging in, some one said it takes like 10 min or more of straight loggins to accomplish it but this worked for a few people so far.

one person was able to login after logging in eu canceling the login midway then reselecting na and loggin in again on na.
theres a few more but im not sure what they were. so again look through the other post on it and look into it all yourself.

Option 2 is our winner! brute forcing it worked. Thank you my friend. If you spam it does eventually let you in a NA. That said I thought it was that old bug where NA was still down, because I could have entered the EU server.
Option 1 had little to nothing to do with it. But good to check.
I did try the cancel trick earlier. (option 3) It didn’t work for me for some reason.
Appreciate it and cheers.

I am getting this as well and it is not working for me.
I tried all the options and I am still unable to connect.
Well, this is the joy of not owning what was paid for. Blizzard is doing such a great job in requiring us to login and be connected to their servers even if we want to play offiline by ourselves. such a wonderful company move by blizzard doing the lords work truly.
