November 20th 2018 4.7.1 Patch Notes for Nydus:
- Nydus Network cost decreased from 150/200 to 150/150.
- Nydus Worm cost decreased from 100/100 to 50/50.
- Nydus Worm are no longer be invincible when emerging.
- Now, they have 6 armor while emerging from the ground.
2018 is when they introduced the changes that brought nydus to the forefront so 2018 is when Nydus became OP.

Yeah i looked at that and it states 53.8% for july? like i said. in that patch it swings around 50% (because there were plenty 47%ish months for protoss too…)
Funny. which means it actually was so completly op for exactly 1 year 
nice. But the nydus wasnt really exploited in my eyes until idraling showed us how easy it is to kill way way way better players, aka neeb. Wasnt 2018 about the massively overpowered hatch tech ling drop?`or when was that again? i begin to forget and forgive everything because current patch is the most balanced patch we ever had.
But then again the last 7 years look way worse for the protoss side than the 1 year right now for zerg (which exactly looks more or less balanced). But the design of the matchup is off, i agree.
Which is not meant as “its completly ok for protoss to be op” rather then as “do you acknowledge that zerg was massively favored against protoss for about 7 years?”
You cant have it both ways.
EDIT: Patch 4.2.1 : 6 March 2018 is when hatch tech ling drop got fixed.

It’s funny that it is quite possible that in quarter-finals in EU DH there might be no Protoss.
It’s quite possible that we will have a ZvZ or a TvZ finale.
