what do you want exactly
4v4 is a waste of everyones time. if you actually want to improve. or have fun. play a different mode.
if you want a complete clown fiesta… play 4v4… it’s just a waste of time to play with friends. but if you take it seriously, you need help.
4v4 is so fun. I prefer 3v3 but it’s hard to get a good match and search times are long. 4v4s only take a couple mins to find a game. Many strategies are viable in 4v4 unlike in 1v1.
4v4 is amove armies exclusively and wildly unbalanced towards protoss and terran
I think its not exactly that its unbalanced towards protoss and Terran in so much as that, it tends to require a lot more planning and coordination if playing as zerg. It well known that Zergs typically have to play aggressive. However this can be a bit tricky if you are dealing with multiple enemies that wall up and mass defenses and you are the only one playing aggressive. Often what I see happen is Terran and protoss massing up deathballs. Zerg doesn’t have any air unit that can attack both air and ground at once while being super tanky. What zerg can do though is harass the hell out of expansions. Zergs can also spread creep and use overseers to give their team a sight advantage. Swarm host play is often very good too. It really depends on how the game is playing out. At high levels of 4v4 with organized teams, Zergs can be terrifying opponents.
The thing to remember about Protoss in particular in 4v4. They tend to be EXTREMELY predictable. When you know that nearly every game protoss is going skytoss, then you can blind prepare for it. I actually find Protoss to be the least scary in 4v4 cause of this reason.
I find protoss will do this skytoss shtick so much even in 2v2 formats where their allies might be having to fight a 2v1 for the first 10 minutes. more often than not 2 players are gonna beat up the one player before skytoss is ready to be dangerous and then he gets beaten up. Skytoss isn’t even always the best composition either. They forget how powerful the protoss ground army really is. Excellent power units and spellcasters like Archons, Templar, and Disruptors can absolutely change the tide of a fight even when outnumbered more so than a whole bunch of interceptors whos main advantage is probably lagging the game so hard the other players can’t right click the carriers.
Yes. Good protoss players remember to vary things about a bit rather than just going skytoss every single game. Sometimes I get caught of guard by protoss that do stalker blink rushes or carefully placed DT attacks.
Zerg and Terran often tend to use a variety of different builds. I see swarm host nydus play a lot in 4v4. Bcs can also be really scary if not prepared for it. At high levels though pretty much all races can be really terrifying to face.
