I got the message “что бы эта возможность стала доступной, требуется полная версия Starcraft II” when i connected to custom games. everything works till yesterday - but today i started getting this error message. can not play now
in my battle.net launcher game copy called - full version. So i have no idea what problem is caused by.
I also acquired campaign pack for 40 euro just now - but result did not change - I still can not play
I think I am having the same issue, and it just started today for me as well, but cannot read that language, so I am not 100% sure.
I am receiving the error “in order to access this content, you must upgrade your copy of Starcraft 2” when trying to join custom lobbies, but only on Europe realm, and I purchased the full game and each expansion as soon as it came out years and years ago.
I tried updating the game, then restarting my computer, then “scan and repair” from battle net launcher, then uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game. Nothing helped, so I turned in a support ticket, and they almost immediately closed it, telling me to submit a bug report in the forums.
Seeing your post here it looked like the same problem, and the timing of it coincides, so I decided to add to this post instead of creating a new one. They said on the support ticket that this is the only way to address bugs, but I see a lot of posts that have gone completely unanswered, so I hope that does not happen here.

the weird thing is that it appears like some maps works, for example squadron td beta worked for me, marine arena did not work, BGH i could create my own lobby, as well as mods not working but the map works

same problem, cant join or host marine arena, keep getting message upgrade your copy of sc2. I only play ma and direct strike, ds is ok but not sure about other games

Sames issue here. Start happening since yesterday 10-01-24.
Only happens on EU servers. When I connect to US, I can play custom games.
Seems to be related to Blizzard, and not our installs/version.
I got response from tech ticket (not sure how I managed to create one but still was lucky) - answer was in Ru - so I post here translation (with ChatGPT)

Ok, I’have the same problem as you, they ask to me to buy the complete version of starcraft 2 on maps that I played till yesterday. I’m happy that the problem is going to be solved.
Have you tried running the map editor?
It doesn’t update automatically alongside the game, and maybe “custom” maps use resources from the editor rather than from the game?
hello in order to bypass this error go to options near play button and press game setting and there choose run game in 32 bit mode and then join game you can play marine arena so. and do it every day changing from 64 to 32 and vice versa will let you join marine arena and lose me game or feed enemy high templar.

I can confirm this work, my game was on 32 bit and I couldn’t playing Exodus III for 5-6 hours.
Changed the game to 64 bit, worked like a charm.
(no need to upgrade the game)

I have the ‘There was a tempory problem with your request. Please try again’ Message when I try to create a lobby in Custom - Melee.
I tried the 32 bit client option but it didn’t work for this.

Same problem whit version 5.0.12.91115, and no mods upload on EU. On US works fine. i have see some frends play on melee on EU, i don know wtf it is but i belive EU servers ar full loaded, or game it broken because arcade DS for example works.
I have the same issue as well. When I try to join a lobby I get an error saying “in order to access this content, you must upgrade your copy of Starcraft 2”
When I try to make a lobby I get an error saying “There was a temporary problem with your request”. As with other players some maps seem to work - e.g. Squadron TD, but most maps are bugged.
I see that there was the same problem back in 2020. It was resolved but now it’s back.
Blizzard, I kindly ask you to resolve this ASAP.
