They’re a tad confusing, especially in comparison to Zeratul’s Abrogators.
Does Fenix’s Disruptors have an attack other than the Nova? Or does it fire off the Nova and then just sit there, doing nothing until it comes back online?

You can treat it as a better Verse mode disruptor. It has Nova, cloak and a second nova, but it does not have an attack and you have to cast the nova manually. Though it has great burst damage, it is unfriendly for F2-A players, and there are other units that out-perform disruptor in most situation.
That’s what I thought it had. It’s not really much of a better MP Disruptor. Fenix’s Disruptor only deals 12 + 75 damage. MP does 145 + 55 shields.
It has 2 attacks:
Auto-attack that hits ground. 7 range; 9 dmg; 1.75 attack speed
Then it has that Purification Nova ability/spell that has to be cast manually. That is its trademark “big ball of energy that’ll travel some distance, then explode, and take out clumps of ground targets”.
Call me lazy, but on maps like DoN with multiple entrances to defend, I prefer to just use Colossi by setting them on patrol and focusing my micro elsewhere.
You sure that it actually does have an auto attack?
Fenix’ Disruptor deals 150 damage with its first explosion and 75 with second, which makes it 225 total damage (and that’s not including shield damage). It has a weak auto-attack, permacloak, and the novas immediately appear in the designated area instead traveling to the target.
So yes, pretty much a better ladder Disruptor.
Okay, so it does have an auto attack. I wasn’t entirely sure on it, as I never actually see it do anything when firing.
Does it? Ahh, actually I cannot remember the last time I ever build one.
The usual “I don’t have the trust level, so just reform the URL yourself” disclaimer…

Very much so “yes” (unless some mini-update changed that)
I also recall when I was leveling up Fenix, I tried out his Disruptors for a few Missions. I was disappointed that you had to manually cast his Purification Nova, and that the only thing they’d do on their own was that weak auto-attack
Here you go. It’s short but if you pay attention, the top Disruptors shoots the auto-attack. It also has lots of novas. A quick and dirty display.
Fenix disruptor has a very weak auto-attack, mostly meant to help it stay safe at range when players do F2+ attack move.
It also has a Nova ability (manually cast by the player) that deals damage in an AOE which is its primary purpose.
Basically consider them a robotic version of High Templar with only Psionic storm and use them as such.
Pffffft. They gave them a friggin’ pea shooter like they did with the High Temp’s water pistol. I love it.
Well its does have an auto-attack actually, it just kinda sucks and is similar to the High Templar auto-attack, but if you have a maxed out 200/200 army of them it can actually be kinda good because of how the Disruptors stack directly on top of each other, but just watch out for AoE moves if you try that 200/200 disruptor army.
Lol yep, but trust me when I say going Disruptor en masse or Disruptor/Scout is very fun.
