Hi all, new user here, and I downloaded and installed the trial of WOW on a 2015 MBP, in preparation of my new M1 mini arriving any day now. All went well, the game even plays (sort of) on this old iron. But then I downloaded SC2, and the install ended in an out of disk space error. Then, WOW won’t load as well, with I/o errors. But I have plenty of drive space on both the system drive and game storage drive. Dozens and dozens of GBs! Now I can’t do anything… any advice?
Sounds like a hard disk failure.
Have you tried running Disk Utility and Repair your drive?
In addition, you might want to try to backup (or transfer important files) out on a separate HDD asap, while reducing run time on this failing HDD.
