What kinds of things do you want to see them announce for SC2?

That theyā€™re continuing to support SC2 through the next several years, even if thatā€™s just keeping the servers going.

Still getting Tosh for Phantoms and Warhounds for Terrans and Niadra for Zerg using Protosstech. This is my biggest wish.

yep nothing for starcraft, pretty sure they aint even got a booth this year and thats why pigs doing the starcon

Doubt they will shut down the servers in the next years because there isnā€™t a ton of people playing and the game is not demanding.

Phil spencer did mention StarCraft after talking about wanting to further the blizzard ipā€™s. So Iā€™d say we will see something eventually, but probably not for a long while and definitely not now at blizzcon

The Starcraft 2 ending didnā€™t leave any room for a Starcraft 3 with Starcraft 2ā€™s cast of characters. Nothing like Amon will ever threaten the Koprulu Sector ever again, so Ascended Kerrigan will have no reason to use her Xelā€™Naga abilities beyond disguise. I could just imagine it. A young woman appears and helps out in some minor way then disappears. You suspect who it could have been, however you donā€™t know for sure; and Blizzard will never say who it was because itā€™s better to leave some things mysterious.

Disappointing. Nothing for SC2. Canā€™t say I am surprised.

I mean thereā€™s plenty further to go and more DLC (scrapped) that was originally planned. You donā€™t have to stick with kerrigan and Raynor. Thereā€™s plenty of books written about after the end of sc2ā€™s campaign.

they dont even need to use the books, ( there all fan fic anyways) . Just make a new baddy like they do with ever world of warcraft campaign. Simple, not hard to do. We dont need some super great story to further sc2 Hell we dont need a story at all, just throw more units into the game give it a facelift fix the problems that sc2 has that needs adressed, and slap a sc3 label on that sucker and we all would be happy. Campain is only 5% of the actual game, the rest is ladder teams and co op at this point. And this game dont even need a campain mode, scrap it all together and we would still have sc2.

also i would like to point out something we all seem to be missing with sc2. As of right now the entire sc2 community has the ability to make sc3 with the map editor. Anyone of us can go into that map editor and make custom maps for campaign with custom unit designs and how ever we want sc3 to be created. Right now there is a few custom sc2 games like sc2 Scion, that use units that arent even in the game or were never even thought up by blizzard. If the sc2 community actually banded together with the great map creators out there we could make sc3 entirely by ourselves with out blizzard, completely with the sc2 game itself.

Probably, but even so, weā€™re not able to move forward with a lot of features because the editor contains a massive amount of unfixed bugs. With no staff member left in the developpement giving us better tools, it would be hard to fully expand an sc3 potential.

Also, the sc2 mapster community seems to be volenteers just as I am; We get to mod in our free times, but weā€™re not hired/working for Blizz, so our best time of the day isnā€™t specially invested in the game.

we obviously know the mapsters arent payed by blizzard as well as doing it on there free time. thats a given.

all im saying is that the sc2 community has that ability with the map editor. Obviously it would not be an easy thing to do at all, but it can be done.

Yea, I agree we could. On a personal note, I would just not call it sc3, Iā€™m really into improving the 2, I like it much as it is, aside from the people requesting balance on races and etc.

I barely even watch Blizzcon BECAUSE WHAT TO WATCH it for??

I just check an Asmon video for quick marking of what it is about and:

  • OW2 - dont care
  • Warcraft ? - OH they meant to transition the talk to Hearthstone - dont care
  • Diablo 4 - I decided to take it but to just go once on it for the story, not chasing level 100, Ive other games to go to, even a fighting game makes me more hyped that any of these titles
  • WoW - I dont play this my Warcraft ended with War3 TFT
  • WoW
  • And more WoW
  • WoW classic
  • OW whats next

Whats next is thanks for summing it all in 5-10 mins nothing to see, thanks for showing that Stormgate team are the only people I should be waiting for new proper RTS

Frankly speaking, no we couldnā€™t because Blizzard owns the IP and the legality of it would prevent us from doing so.

not if its a custom game made from there own game miro. look at all the custom games out there right now. hell look at sc2 scion, its basically a whole new game compared to sc2. it can be done and no blizzard really cant do anything about it. they didnt stop sc2 scion from being made in customs. Even if they did try to pull some legal bs the outcome might actually force them to make sc3, doubt that one but you never know.

I think weā€™re not even there, at least in the trailers/ads I saw.
