I have a cheap microsoft keyboard (5 euro) ,got it 9 years ago and it still works fine after daily use,many hours per day every day of the year. It’s so cheap and reliable I let my bird playing and eating around it with no problems because i can clean it by shaking it up and brushing it.
I think a good mouse is a better option when you consider performance/cost ratio. During my keyboard’s life span I have had to buy three cheap mice.
