I read a lot, what is the best monitor, some for a high number of frames per second, others for resolution, since the game still drops FPS to 30-40 frames per second when there are a lot of units.
I chose six options, which is the best for our favorite game ?:
8K resolution, 7680x4320 60fps very interesting, but not very cheap.
Your`s opinion?
The issue is not with your monitor but with your CPU. There’s exactly zero point to get a high refresh rate monitor in a RTS. It’s only useful for games likes shooters.
I would say 4K 144Hz is the best. SC2 is a competitive game but it does not depend on frame rates that much: 60FPS is well enough for average players. Also, SC2 does not need a powerful GPU - a GTX 1050 would be sufficient for 4K all ultra at 60 FPS. The real cause for lost frames is your CPU cannot keep up. Even with a Core i9-9900K overclocked to 5.0GHz you would still drop to 30-40 frames under complex situations like 4v4 late game all maxed army and heavy battle.
Thanks to all. I know - for SC2 need only 1-2 cores CPU but maximum performance. My new rig have got 1080TI, and i only waiting 9900KS.

lol Are there 8k monitors? what are they for?
Dell UP3218K is an 8K monitor for professional works like video and photo editing. This is the only ‘monitor’ as far as I know since other 8K screens are more like TVs.
All monitors - 27’’.
Only 8K Dell - 32’’.
