No it won’t. Protoss has stalkers, and making them early on is standard in the match up. If terran go for BCs, they won’t be able to get damage in as reliably against Protoss as they do against Zerg. Protoss will get an opportunity to walk across the map and kill the Terran with an army the Terran can’t fight. Against Zerg, that’s not a concern, because Zerg doesn’t get hatch tech anti-air that can cross the map quickly, and their units aren’t as good at breaking down/circumventing walls.
If the Protoss is opening with blink, a BC opener from Terran would basically be a guaranteed loss in high level play.
Even though stalkers are bad vs BCs on equal supply, they do trade cost efficiently, especially in small numbers.
Ironically, late game BCs are harder to deal with for Protoss than for Terran or Zerg, but in the early game, dealing with them disrupts Protoss the least, since making stalkers is typically the response against 1 base Terran play, due to them being the only unit that Protoss can make early that can fight Terran units without an upgrade, in addition to being the unit that can kill medivacs to shut down drops.

So yeah they did it and it was useless. Bc cyclone with scv and some marines and it did absolutly nothing despite zest going for phoenix which is rather suboptimal in this case. He could have blink and 6 Gates At that time Minimum.

Not really. Im just clueless why you should post a match where the bc opener failed completly vs something that doesnt even counter it and you claim that it is any good vs protoss.

I made it abundantly clear why I posted it. It is a build that is used at the highest levels by the absolute best players and this proved that. It’s hard to explain why the best terran on earth would use a build unless he thought it was good, and there is your dilemma. If he uses it, which he clearly does, then he thinks it’s good, and that’s bad for the terran apologist like you.

I saw sOs get absoutely dumpstered by a BC build, on stream, like two days ago. Neither of us had any idea a BC was coming, given how the early game unfolded. He stopped some hellion play and then his aggression got shutdown hard, then there were BCs popping up everywhere in his base.
A BC can basically kill an infinite amount of phoenixes it appears. I’m just happy I don’t play this game much these days.
