Everything can be used offensively if you try. Thay doesn’t mean its inherently bad. People do spine crawler rushes, is it broken? No. But it is fun to watch and adds variety to the game

It feels like YOU would be the one cherry picking dumb stats that fit your narrative, taking into consideration statistic for qualifiers where low master and dia can take part in is the dumbest sh1t, now I’d love to see what you have to say about DreamHack in Europe where terran is also dominant. It’s a naive mistake to separate the offense from defense in military strategy and as a result in Starcraft that is a primitive, oversimplified simulation of a real war.
A balanced offense/defense is the key to victory.
If you make a knight drop the armor and the shield, he will gain 20-30% more on offense (due to the reduced weight and the resulting faster movements) but he will die much-much easier in the battlefield. His fighting-potential will be much reduced in the long-run.

so if you play 100 games as terran, and you’re against protoss for those 100 games, you will win 46 of them, statistically, and the protoss will win 54. 8pt difference.
Imba? really? This isn’t some 70% huge difference. It’s literally 4% over an even split.

Spine rush? In pro scene does it only Bly… and he can win maybe 2/10 games… on ladder you see it when some Master trolls much much lower league! Doesnt compare spine rush with Cannon rush! each race is now pretty struggling with early air defence! Proxy Buffed VR would break everything

Not if a proper upgrade is linked with Fleet-Beacon. And not the stupid one that makes VR a fast-one (that in 70% of the cases you are better-off without), but something substantial like +1 Range, -1 Supply or something of a certain value…

Simple numerical adjustments no longer provide enough good service for the players of the game. I have two departments in my company: marketing and risk management. Sometimes I don’t know I should listen to whose.

Dude if you look at balance statistics 4% is huge deal, especially long term. You if you win 60% games, you have win ration 1.5 for 1000 games. Which is a lot. You obviously don’t know sc2. Even having 54% win rate is like you are doing great. I was top 1 masters and i don’t think i had even that… Besides if you play game on high level together with statistic you can see why it is broken…

Besides since 2018, protoss has like 85% times higher winrate than terran…

That’s insane!

Protoss had 23 periods when had more than 50% winrate, Terran only 9 for last 2 years … So statistic clearly show Protoss is doing great in PvT overall for long period. Also when protoss had lower win rates than 50%, terran usually had only 51, or not even that. While protoss winrates spiking to 53-54…

Is 54% win rate huge. Ask Protoss players how they feel about that when considering PvZ. Now back to PvT. Most terrans should only expect to win 40 Games max in PvT. 40 - 60 doesn’t seem like much. I mean it is still a 40% win rate right. that’s only about a 400 MMR LOST. If terrans only played PvT they would be losing rank constantly. Probably would be stuck in wood league.

Is it balance I don’t know. most people will say no or get good or L2P. terrans suck and deserve to be in wood league If they are losing 60% of thier PvT in (gold/plat/diamond/etc). Imagine losing 400MMR every 100 games.

Just saying anything defensive can be used offensively. Or did you not understand that? Each race is not struggling with early air defense. If that were true the multiple oracle builds would be dominating the meta. Which they arent. Because early air defense is fine, even with the queen revert.

Mass Oracle not, cuz Spore is armored and Queen tagless… If you can pump out so quick couple VR as Oracles, they can snipe Spores and Queen doesnt do well enough. Much more devastating will be against Protoss since only real low tier GtA is Stalker, armored. PvT is not that huge of a deal… Rines doing well, Mines too and Viking can kite VR. So overall buffing VR is a very bad idea.

Ok so let’s just keep it as a completely useless unit

Nothing is free in StarCraft. It’s a strategy game. If the shield battery is placed somewhere you can’t reach that’s good play. However most of the time it’s literally right in your face to shoot. Like I said it didn’t really change PVP much because people just focus it down.

It’s not a problem for zerg because he can bile it down. It’s also not a problem for terran, because he can outmaneuver the protoss with medivacs (provoke an overcharge here, run over there, etc).
