I see this was brought up a while ago but Im finding it still a problem. I am in Silver 1 just recently and I keep getting 1v1 matches against gold 2 and 1 players and sometimes even higher. my MMR keeps dropping so far because I lose so many games in a row and I cant advance. Im not fighting people even in my league
Players can retain a higher league rank after losing a lot of MMR.
Can also happen that there’s noone else for you to play against near your MMR, in which case try playing at a different time of day.
The game is…I don’t wanna say dying…it’s not…but it’s no longer a particularly active game which means less players to diversify the match making.
Add that onto returning players, trolls, your own fluxuating skill level at that level and it’s going to be a total mess.
This happens with all competitive games that lose a huge chunk of their population.
