Bad Experiences with CS

Given that this is General Discussion, I think this is the most appropriate forum to talk about this. If it is not, please do not just close this topic. Tell me the right public forum to discuss dissatisfaction with Blizzard customer service/Customer support and I will post it there.

Has anyone else had nothing but bad experiences with customer service? I had an issue where I was silenced for 2 days. I don’t spam, I don’t use racial slurs, and I don’t personally attack other players. So I thought it must have been an issue where I was mass-reported for talking about cashews in co-op chat (to break up the annoying political talk that was going on at the time) and someone didn’t like it and told everyone to report me, which I was thinking is what got me silenced.

So I sent in a ticket and 1 day later someone gave me a copy/pasted reply that my conduct has been reviewed and the decision stands, then closed the ticket without giving me a chance to reply. So I sent another ticket asking what it was exactly that I said that was “abusive” and I got another copy/pasted reply basically saying the same thing with the added note at the bottom that all future attempts to figure out why I was silenced will be ignored.

I have to say the whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve been playing blizzard games for years, ever since Diablo 2 and SC Broodwars. I bought SC2 and Diablo 3 at launch, at full price. Bought all the SC2 expansions. I never in a million years expected to be told that my genuine inquiries will be straight up ignored by the company I have spent so much time and money into. I guess I am spoiled… the only other game I play online regularly is Final Fantasy XIV and I have had occasions to contact their customer service and was never treated like a nuisance to be swatted away for asking questions.

I understand this is not a subscription based game, so comparing it to FFXIV is a bit unfair, but I have been on WoW forums and see similar complaints about customer service, which leads me to believe its a wide-spread problem. Has anyone else had an issue with customer service? Share it here, I want to know. Maybe we can bring some attention to the issue.

I agree, it sucks to get copy paste and then closed, very low quality costumer service. But you have to realise this is not the same company that made those games you love, its only the name, it got bought then the soul ripped apart leaving its precious games made by passionate and talented developers, prisoners and abandoned. Is actually sad to see.

I want to say the general rule here is to ignore people who are talking trash. Just press the report button and move on.
Although it’s a bit late now.
